To take place in the next two weeks. I am not CASTs No.1 fan, but at least this is a start. It is crucial that the meeting is well attended and passionate -some will recall the meeting we had at the Valley Club withMike Norris after we left the Valley. It was spicier than a vindaloo. We need to see that replicated. No more motions and committee meetings and minutes from meetings that take two months to be agreed. a clearly defined message to Roland Rat crafted around his utterly **** stewardship of our Club, and a very clear message for him to either change his ways, or **** off skint. Who will be going to the meeting ?
Already committed to attending. If I can make it up there to watch the dross that was Charlton vs Rotherham, I can sure as hell be there for something that really matters. I urge all to attend. Wear your colours and make your voice heard loud and clear.
Think all that can go should, even not inside numbers outside to show we won't be walked over and to show how much this club means to us
Agreed. CAST are the lesser of two evils at the moment, and happy to support any momentum for change.
I think we should insist that a member of this forum is invited. Given that 'top table' seats are being bagged by the most ridiculous of individuals already (FFS) I would feel much better if someone from this forum can get on the table and our forum can be represented. One of our mods perhaps? who work tirelessly, Dick Plumb, Royston, FHB, Blackheath,in fact anyone on here has my trust and respect. We must have a presence. It is important that this is a supporters vehicle not a recruitment campaign for CAST and the policies are one which I like to call 'one love' i.e. Roly loves us and shows us attention or leaves us for that strumpet Standard Liege. I'm not interested in maintaining a dialogue and all that nonsense, just a decent cash stream and decent home based players whose names I can pronounce.
Apparently RD is looking to buy Lens. Will this mean we will be pushed further down the Network. http://dlvr.it/8P4ZjS
Or sold? You really have to question Roland's mindset. I likened him to Dr Frankenstein when he moved in and I thought he was trying to create the perfect monster - but where? And how many? And perhaps most importantly for how much? Those clunky boots and bolts cost money.
Rumour that the meeting will take place on Wed 18th Feb, with a larger venue currently being sought. I fully intend to be there, but would be delighted if Dick Plumb could represent this site and collate our views to feedback beforehand.
Nick, as I see it there can only be one representative from this board and that should be your good self.... you have been a voice of reason and good sence for many years and not afraid to put your tackle on the table when the chips are down (perhaps the less said about that night the better!). You would be ably assisted by Dick but I feel that you would be best placed to 'tell it as it is!' and knock over all those cups of Bovril to get at the real truth. One vote here for the Nicker!
Sorry Dick but what we need here is a street fighter and to me Nick is that man but I can not think of a better Lieutenant-General than your good self.
Damn, I'm attending the Game of Thrones exhibition that evening. I really got a couple of comments to make: (1) I'm fed up with all these "head coaches," want to go back to a manager whom has a say about how things are run, rather than being made by K.M., who's seriously ineffective at fighting our corner and concerns. (2) The network, it's s***! Bring in some players whom can handle this league. 32 players in (according to Crawley) and only 3 players can actually hack the Championship. Actually maybe we should all write our concerns on here, and whom visits should take them to the meeting?
I think we have to realise this is just the first step of what could be a very long haul. Le Douche loves being king of his Network and is probably quite used to seeing fans as "The Enemy", judging by e-mails from fans of his other clubs. I'd guess that he'd see plummetting attendances as a challenge to be fronted out, and would hope to attract new fans, sod the old ones. There seems little point in trying to negotiate with Katrien, her function is to fob us off. There can only be one long-term aim IMO, to find a potential owner who has Charlton's interests at heart, and hope that paltry crowds will lower Douchebag's asking price. We might look at Swansea's model of part-ownership by the fans, although that might be a bit further down the line.
I think we are fortunate on this site to have a plethora of talent, passion and sincerety with a touch of menace too!
