Twenty nine year old AC Milan striker Antonio Cassano remains in hospital after apparantly suffering from a stroke after Saturday's win away to Roma.Club officials say he has improved slightly, and are hopeful he will make a full recovery! **** me 29 and scoring for Milan, next minute that!I was actually hoping we might have had a look at him as i think he's more than half decent.Whatever happens hope he recovers.
My daughter suffered a stroke when she was 15, it can happen at any time. She made a fairly full recovery and I now have three grandchildren from her, but I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Cassano being young and fit should also make a full recovery once they diagnose the cause. I wish him well...
Likewise Sooper. And good luck to Cassano - very good, very temperamental player. Bit of bloody mindedness may be a good thing for rehab. The singer Edwyn Collins had 2 massive strokes, by no means fully recovered but back working. As Sooper says, we associate strokes with the old, but it can happen anytime. Run strongly along with diabetes in the male side of my family, so I take an interest in these things...
I always find stories of young people afflicted by this bring back my unhappy memories, however, with youth on their side recoveries are often amazing.
I always fancied him as a very good player, but with Balloteli sized baggage.... Hope he recovers well though. And glad your daughter fought back, Sooper.
