4m price tag placed on McGoldricks head with Swansea reportedly interested..... 4m I would take it.....but that's just me.
Bite their hands off, we have a straight replacement in Nouble, oh hold on...... Not one of our players are prem quality so not sure this will happen. Saying that, it would explain the Doyle link.
Not too sure why i thought of adding the moonie to the end of my post, it just made me giggle on a miserable friday morning.
Would be a little hard to stomach selling the only consistent goal scorer we've had in a good while. But at £4m it's surely got to be worth considering, Murphy can tide us over until we get SEB fully fit. But if we're going to be selling McGoldrick it makes it essential to keep hold of Cressy.
No one will go, why would you go to a team that is going down, a manager who does not get on with his chairman above all its bloody WALES.. Anyway Swans are in for Schlupp from the foxes.!
Swansea aren't going down, absolutely no way! I think you'd rather be there than an unambitious Championship club. For us though, we need the player not the cash. It would have to be double that for what his goals are actually worth to us in terms of putting us amongst the promotion contenders.
Anyone from 10th place down are in danger of the drop. As for Didsy agree 4M is not enough he is our 1 real quality forward player.!
£4 million is double his market value but to us he is worth more. Sadly we need the money and £4 mil is a grt price
IF sold, and it's a big IF, we can kiss our faint play off chances goodbye. As Spanish said above, he's not worth £4m market value, but atm is priceless to us - without his contribution we'd be fooked.
Personally I think £4m could go a long way toward strengthening the squad. Clearly a chunk would need to go to replace McG but it would leave money left over for a couple of others who we desperately need. That said, I can't see this deal happening in the slightest as it would be a lot of money for someone who has blown hot and cold and only been 'hot' for one calendar year
Guaranteed comfortable 20 goals a season, you can't replace that for £4m. He's not been hot for only one year, at this level yeah but he's proved he can step up (don't let his Forest stats fool you - he rarely played 90 minutes). With an additional £4m we could sort out the rest of the XI but you're not going to replace Cresswell and McGoldrick for a combined £10m. Without those two we'd be nowhere near the play offs.
Although I do agree with you to a point... There aren't really any Guaranteed 20 goal a season strikers.. and to (again refer to his career) this would be McG's 1st season of this nature... Also, to think we nearly signed Austin for £1m.. Ross McCormack, Jamie Mackie, Danny Graham, Rickie Lambert, Jay Rodriguez were all for £1m or thereabouts. Adam Le Fondre was only 300k! Grant Holt was 400K The point is, there are good players out there on their way up and if we were clever enough to scout them and shrewd enough to get someone of that calibre in then we would have money left to spend on other areas
I'm struggling to see what relevance this post has to anything and what brought it on Yes we are 7th... that is about all and agree with in trying to decipher your post
Warky, why act like a complete prick by taking the piss out of people that are debating the prospect of losing our best player? You say to get a grip as we are 7th but if we lose our best players we will not be anywhere near 7th!!
I see Tunners has gone back to Man U....i'm guessing to be sold to Fulham - i think he could be a big loss, his workrate i believe is underrated.
