Is Carl_Jenkinson Carl Jenkinson looking forward to tommorow 33 minutes ago » Carl_Jenkinson Carl Jenkinson @ @Yads_M15 I miss you too man 42 minutes ago So, set to go tomorrow i would assume Got alot of stick since Arsenal came in for him, but give the kid credit, he was good for us, nobody should deny that, an 18y/o playing LB when he is a RB and still outplaying half the team... I dont see why there is all the hate for him, especially when we get the £2,000,000 for him... (thats 2x Rickie Lambert's ) Good Luck Carl
I have watched Carl come up through the youth team, he's not Prem standard yet and he's not worth £2m.. where did that figure come from? The last figure talked about was £1m plus some add ons
I saw the guy play down eastbourne this year and said to my mate "we need this guy back down cafc at the moment" He comes back now hes gone to arsenal good luck to him credit to cafc but shame he couldnt show a little more respect and actually not blame the fans for moving
There's no way he outplayed the rest of the team. Whenever he played the back line was unbalanced and Dailly et al at to keep covering him. Very suprised Arsenal are after him/have got him. Didn't think he was quite ready for League One football this year tbh.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but when has he blamed the fans?!?!? That's just houndal making up bullsh*t about Carl being abused by fans and 'walking down the tunnel in tears' at Dagenham.
Jenkinson was never abused by the fans, only time he got booed was the 2nd to last home game when he was warming up on the touchline when it was already announced he was leaving for Arsenal
He was dissapointed at the fans reaction to the TEAM, not him... He said something on his twitter... And then he got booed the crap out of from then on....
The Arsenal site now confirms that Jenkinson is on their books. Would be nice to know what we got for him. My guess is that £900k plus add ons is more likely than £2m but I hope to be proved wrong.
Our own official site has confirmed it too, and his comments when interviewed have really changed how I feel about the move. Perhaps I (and others) was a bit harsh to condemn him for the move, now all I have to say is good luck to him and I hope he makes it in the Premier League.
I think he is probably as good as Konchesky, but by moving to Arsenal young he stands a reasonable chance of becoming much better. Unfortunate all the stuff that went on around his exit, but I wish him luck. What still sticks in my throat is that Parky played an 'anyone but Moots' policy with a string of average right backs and wasn't capable of bringing on the talent within our own club. I really hope that has changed now.
Eastbourne to Arsenal in 6 months.... Good luck to him, would be surprised to see him playing in the premier league. Championship, definately but not the Prem
Jesus it is about £2m £1m+ up front with add ons http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/footba...completes-2million-arsenal-move-from-charlton Who was it that said he didn't rate him on 606? Oh for missing friends
Lets hope this goes in to the playing squad. I know the books aren't great, but this is a bonus £1m +. Lets be naughty with it Mr Slater!
J-VFR - "That's just houndal making up bullsh*t about Carl being abused by fans and 'walking down the tunnel in tears' at Dagenham" I hope you have got a good lawyer. Was never me.
