Who remembers this one from 47 years ago?

City 5 Hull 1 - Hat trick from Toshack. Why, oh why, did we sell him!

Any one fancy a repeat performance?

I'e said for a while that someone will get a hiding before the year is out. Hot had a full squad, played for 90 mins, taken all our chances and had the rub of the green yet. Two or three out of four but never four.
At some point the planets will align...........

City sold him for money to line the directors pockets as so alleged. They’d turned down an offer from Fulham but when Liverpool came in with £110000 it was seemingly too good to turn down. In today’s football transfer terms that was like 20 million!

The problem was he was not replaced for too long. Warboys came in and did well but a lot of ground had been lost. Mind you they still had it in their own hands but a home defeat to Watford was crushing as was of course the infamous 5-1 reverse at Sheff U.

City came 3rd. Only the top 2 went up; no plays off back then.

The next season they changed it to the top 3 getting auto<doh>

As for tomorrow the team picks itself with injuries to do many including Morrison & Ward. Probably be tight and notwithstanding the new manager bounce City should have enough to win.

My first away game, stuck in the cricket part of the ground. Welsh man Trevor Hockey ran rings around us. 5 of us in the back of a small van, we had a blow out on the way home, how the driver (Shiny Price) kept it stable no one knows.

No Campbell for them. Should I change my prediction?

Hoping they'll play him wide right with NML up front. Either that or let the front 3 interchange.

Its a worry that Bogle, Ken and Ward are out.

Be great when their ALL back though.

Another cracking win <applause> On we go! Thought Pilks put in a decent shift - good effort, still can't finish mind.

A game with no real complaints about the officials. Can this be true? <yikes>

Mr Duncan was also in charge for our away win win at Wolves. Can we have him every week?

Yes yes I know he had a valuable assist but in all honesty Pilkington was as poor as I expected. Patently unfit, constantly offside, terrible touch and just did absolutely nothing as I again expected UNTIL his moment.

If he thinks his 60 odd minutes justified another start then God help us.

Looks like Bogle should be fit to start next week.

Yes, I thought Pilks was like a fish out of water yesterday. Little confidence which is not surprising given the lack of playing time and a very poor first touch that got him into trouble. Never got clear of his markers and fell over a lot as a result. Revell and Doyle could do that for us.

We deservedly won the game but the margin could have been bigger with someone up front to give the Hull defenders trouble. Come back Big Ken - your club needs you.
