anybody hear anything about brady and if hes likely to make it? what team would people pick, most saying stewart needs a rest, do we go with mcleans "workrate"...? and whos going?, quite a big game in context of things, be good to have a few there for a bit of atmosphere..
id go with king and brady too, people say king hasnt done much but its difficult when you keep being thrown on with ten minutes to go, to try and win a game, lot of pressure for a young kid to come on and make an instant impression, id like to see him given a go from the start, see how he gets on...barmby said mckenna has 9 bookings, so i believe thats one away from a 2 game ban...wonder if hed be tempted to try dudgeon/olifinjana soon to suss out a potential replacement...

I hope not. We'd be artificially suspending our best defensive midfielder for a game against one of our main playoff rivals just to try out an option for when he's actually suspended. The only exception I'd make to that is if the cutoff for the 10 card suspension is just after the Cardiff game. It might be worth dropping him for 1 game now if it'll stop him missing 2 games in a week's time. I think when the ban does come it'll almost definitely be Dudgeon. He's the only player we've got who'll just sit there and snarl his teeth at the opponent. Cairney and Olofinjana as replacements for McKenna might as well unroll a red carpet and usher them through the defence.

Just wonder if Barmby may try a change of system, 4-4-2, and take everyone by surprise. -------------Mannone Rosenoir, Chester, Hobbs, Dawson Brady---McKenna--Evans--Koren ---------McLean, Fryatt
Think if NB wants him to have a role this season he needs to give him pitch-time against weaker opposition than Cardiff away. The last time he played was nearly a disaster.
Looks like Brady won't be risked. I'd expect Stewart and McLean to start, although after the weekend, I wouldn't make that choice.
That's the team I'd like to see, but with Brady being withdrawn at half time on Saturday, I'll be surprised if he plays on Tuesday, unfortunately. I have to be in Hull on Tuesday, so this will be another miss for me, all these long distance night matches are proving impossible for me to work around.
I have at least now managed to sort flights to Hong Kong that get me out the day after the Leicester game and back the day before the Coventry game, though it means I'm now only actually in Hong Kong for three days.
I think Cairney can do the job. McKenna is a good tackler but his main role is to sit back and knock the ball around and always being available for a safe backward pass if necessary. I reckon Cairney is the best alternative to McKenna for that. You'd still have Evans to tackle.
