With Hobbs out for the rest of the season, who will be captain for the remaining few games? My nominee would be McKenna, in fact I'd have thought he should be captain all along but some say he actually asked not to be captain. However I think it's more likely NB will make his mate Dawson captain.
It'll be Dawson, like it was for the 2nd half of the game on Saturday. McKenna and Rosenior apparently asked not to be. I hope in McKenna's case it was because he didn't want to just walk in and take it withut having earnt the respect of the other players first. (that way he can be captain next season).
there was an incident on saturday, where one of our players was in trouble, i cant remember which to be honest. but the referee pulled mckenna to one side to talk to him about it, then i think he must have told the ref Hobbs was actually captain because he then pulled hobbs over....think that says it all to be honest
It should be McKenna - in fact, this could be a good way to give it to him permanently, as opposed to Hobbs just randomly losing it. I'm sure it won't happen but it'd like it to.
I think it will be Dawson, but it should be Mckenna IMO. Not bad for a free transfer is he? Even if we have no money to spend in summer, if we can pick up some other decent free signings we can look forward to next season.
We don't list anyone as vice-captain as far as I can see. In our first Premier League season, Dawson, Gardner and Boateng were all listed in matchday squads as vice-captain(Gardner listed as '2nd vice-captain', whatever that means). In our second Premier League season Barmby was vice-captain. There doesn't seem to have been anyone mentioned as vice-captain on the OWS, or wiki, or anywhere else, since relegation.
