Hi I'm Marv and i work on the Railway. As the new season will soon be upon us I thought i would offer my services to anyone who needs any rail info including cheapest prices for away games or for any other reason for that matter.Either leave a message here or PM me and i will get back to you as soon as i can Marv
As I'm hopefully moving to Loughborough in September, I'm guessing I'll be asking about trains a few times this season! Cheers anyway, man
Depends when and what time you are going. During the day it's 30 mins past each hour with one change at Woking is the best way. If you are going early morning on a week day times and changes vary.
Lol I wish there was a cheaper way over. Flights are over a hundred quid and the times mean we have to stay over and thats further expense. Its always, ALWAYS worth it though. Even when we lose.
You can get from London to Southampton from £5 each way with Southern Trains but you have book in advance (on line only if you live in Belfast) but you have to stick to the train you are booked on only so don't miss it. The Journey goes via the coast so you have to travel through Skate territory and it takes 2h 27 mins. If you want to be flexable on the same route it will be £24.10 or £29.60 if you stay over night If you go direct from London Waterloo to Southampton it would be £34 for a day return or £37.20 if you stay over night. Pity you don't live in Southern Ireland as the most expensive fare is £76 return from Dublin to Southampton via Ferry and Train but you have to book in advance and is a 12 hour trip one way so you would have to stay over night. If you did that you would have to contact Irish Ferries.
Cheers for that mate, you are a good person to have around! I flew from Dublin before at 6-7am I think but it was ok because my dad lives there. I think the flights were around a hundred after the exchange rate. My mates who support Arsenal can do the whole day trip for under 100. Nice to get a night away I suppose, can't wait to get back over.
Nice to see Saints being supported in NI. I have family in Newry (County Down). All celtic,Liverpool and Man u fans. I am still working on them!! Just out of intrest NorthernIrishSaint what made you support the Saints?
People always ask me that, its a tricky one to remember. I think this will be my tenth season supporting them and before that I never got into one team but I loved football. Anytime you watch a match you always feel yourself tending towards one team or another...it occurred to me after a while that I supported them, no other reason lol. Loved the fight of them, the fortress that was the Dell (even though I was never fortunate enough to get over), the Strachan era, JAMES BEATTIE. Great club, would never have supported anyone else Its quite expensive to get to games but I get to a few. Thinking Southampton gap year if I can find work....
Passport!! Ah that's what it was. Make sure it's the correct one. Non-footy aside.... I couldn't get on my flight to Dublin on Tuesday morning, because when I got to the boarding gate I had my son's passport. Apparently I don't pass for 10 anymore......... oops!
