    I understand that Campbell has been offered about 10-15k more to go to West Ham. Only thing is he wants to play in the Premiership.

    Another one lost to an opposition club possibly?

    ok...........bit harsh
    but the only reason nolan went to west ham was coz they offered him a great wage on a five year contract, that newcastle weren't prepared to offer. (according to my mate who is a newcastle boffin)

    And I suppose if another employer offered to double your wages you'd turn them down, get real mate what does Kevin Nolan owe anyone.

    I used to think like that until i realised all the awards and the odd piece in magazines didn't help pay the mortgage or give me a decent quality of life!!! Does that make me a sell out??

    I doubt if Kevin Nolan has mortgage worries or suffers a bad quality of life

    Agree. With relatively short careers, surely achievement, success, playing your country and the club of your dreams matters more than what number follows the decimal point of how many millions you earn.

    If it's true that NW can't give anyone a reasonable assurance that he'll be manager at the start of the season, can you blame these players for looking elsewhere. Would you be happy to have those f*ckers Ecclestone and Briatore as your employers? Personally, I'd run a mile...

    Campbell will sign for West Ham if money rules, the alternative is he could come here and Warnock will be gone before he's had a chance. I think it's clear Allardyce is getting his way at West Ham and that, with bigger wages, will attract the type of players we should be signing. The goons reputation is doing for any chance of signing decent players...

    Agree Goldie. If I was a player considering an approach by Rangers, the manager issue would be a factor, as would:

    - the league I'd be playing in;
    - my chances of regular first team selection;
    - my wages compared to similar talents elsewhere;
    - the content and length of my contract;
    - the club's ability to attract quality team-mates; and last but not least
    - the club's ability to compete for honours.

    Including the open-ended manager question, Crisis Club QPR's current ability to satisfy the needs of half-decent players looks extremely slim. That simply makes offers from other clubs all the more appealing for all but the most desperate of players.

    Expect a last minute rush of transfers and/or loans as those without a prem (shop window) placement look to us as a last resort.

    Will DJC be one such? Hardly highly sought after, so remains to be seen.

    1) We're in a higher league than the hammers, so 1-0 to us.
    2) Compared to our other strikers, Campbell is Messi, 2-0.
    3) Yikes, 2-1.
    4) NA
    5) Draw
    6) we're more ambitious than West Ham, so final score, 3-1 to the R's

    Bill: I make 4-2 against us if I was Campbell.

    Manager issue: Point Against - Big Sam's a new broom. Sir Neil is clinging to his job.
    League I'd be playing in: Point For - We're prem, they're not.
    Chances of regular first team selection: Point For - QPR are short of strikers
    Wages compared to similar talents elsewhere: Point Against - West Ham have prem wages and parachute fund to support
    Ability to attract quality team-mates: Point Against - Rangers not having much luck are they?
    Club's ability to compete for honours: Point Against - Possible promotion versus possible / probable relegation?

    Content and length of my contract are unknown factors.

    Good analysis, Brixton. And I fear your prediction of last minute transfers for desperate players may well come true...It'll probably suit the Goons as these players should be cheap...
