According to Mike White, Cam's loan at Charlton was an emergency loan and he can still sign for another club. It looks like he'll be a Leeds player next week. Wigan have come in with a bid for Hobbs. Brucey has confirmed he expects both today's goal scorers to be gone this month.
I'm slightly confused by the Hobbs situation. Didn't we agree a deal with Forest, not disimilar to that of George Boyd, to loan him there for the season in return for a loan fee, which would in effect be his transfer fee as his contract runs out in the summer? I was under the allusion that Hobbs had already agreed a long term contract with Forest and the deal in the summer was set in stone?
The Forest fans were told that a deal was in place for Hobbs. It now seems to them that what really happened was an agreement was made to have a deal and nothing was signed. That is their nice theory anyway some of them think their club lied about the whole thing and there wasnt even an agreement to have a deal. I guess they dont trust their owners or something. If you want to read them argue over why Hobbs is leaving check out their forms on the subject. Personally dont bother and just trust me that they say what I typed out.
Brian's said a deal is close, supposedly Steve Bruce has said the same, seems it's all but done. Anyone willing to give an idea of what we can expect from him?
He's a very skillful player who was very good at times for us but he went through one very long patch of bad form for us, and it was like Torres at Chelsea in that everyone focused on his lack of form, the pressure was on him every game to finally end this bad patch and that pressure seemed to make it harder for him to get going again. He had a couple of pointless loan deals where he didn't get played but seems to have got going again at Charlton so you might have a player there. In terms of his game he's got the lot; pace, trickery and gets to the byline, he's got a decent shot on him too. He's lightweight and not what I'd think of as a Leeds player. There's a popular myth that his injury was the start of his downturn in form. It was a bad cruciate injury but he actually was at his best for us immediately after coming back from injury for the first 5-6 games.
He also came back from a loan spell at Burnley unfit and overweight. Bruce blasted him publicly for this and questioned his desire to be a professional footballer. He's talented, just depends whether he can be arsed. Motivation seems to be a major issue. I am convinced Leeds is totally the wrong club for him, the spotlight will be on him and I think he'll get a rough ride from your fans if they don't see an immediate impact, that could send him back into his shell. PS This boy loves a step over like no other.
How the **** I have managed to like and dislike this post is beyond me. It's an iPhone it's late and my aim was just to like. Can the dislike be removed?
Richard Cawley ‏@RichCawleySLP Just spoken to Chris Powell, says #cafc still in the mix for Cameron Stewart. Spoke to his representative over the weekend.
Afraid not. Someone asked me about this before, and I clicked 'like' for the same post by accident when looking into it.
Nah, I wasn't clear there. It wasn't the same post you'd clicked. Someone clicked one in error, and I looked at their's to see if I could correct it, and did the same as them. I checked with the main mods and there's no way of correcting it.
Looks like Cam's off to Leeds... http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spor...up-stewart-transfer-with-hull-today-1-6353712
Just seen you on twitter mate, congratulations, you've reached the dizzying heights of the "lufc" hashtag front page.
