Common sense tells you that you don't appoint someone as the titular head of a multi million pound organisation in five minutes, and it was only late on Thursday afternoon that the club was given permission to talk to MM.
I didn't realise anyone was stressed out Funny really. I know he would be a good manager, but he is hardly an exciting appointment. If he doesn't come, I won't lose any sleep over it. Just be a case of who's next.

I assume that overreaction was meant for me because I am not jumping up and down in excitement. He is the manager, great, I will be behind him from the start. I am just saying I am not overly concerned if he says no. I would then put my support whoever we did make manager...Not quite sure why this is bullshit, but there you go.
Can I just add in my tuppence - and that is that some of you guys have posted on our Boards and it has been great having you there - most posters have been polite and helpful giving honest opinions. Whatever way this works out it is good to have fans of different clubs able to chat and discuss like this - cheers

I think we on this board need not worry, we all have our favourites but when the club picks their man we will get 100% behind him.

I just hope we get our first player through the door quicker than we got a manager. We only need one manager but we need a dozen players! I hope I'm wrong, but we may take one step back this season before we take the two forward we need for propmotion. It's like 6 years ago when DJ had to sell the crown jewels (Gabbs, Collins, Kav, et al) and bring in a load of journeymen. For Gabbs etc, now read Jay, Chops, Bellamy, Burke.
