    Afternoon

I know, we'v dropped points again when we shouldn't of.

But there is no good beating ourselves up about it - I can just see this place going mad like it always does untill we win again.

We all know our main problem and that we need someone to take advantage of our dominance.

The situation will not magically change by us whinging - we are actually playing as well as we can with the players we have.

Let's be patient and see what the summer brings. For now its as we were before the game.

P.S 4th was never really a goer anyway.

At least the performance was much better (surprise surprise - we play better WITHOUT Steven Gerrard). Didn't deserve to lose or draw but that's what you get when you miss chances.

Carragher was at fault for both goals and I think Glen would have made more of an impact. Can't wait to get Agger and Johnson back.

I'll be pissed off if Kenny brings Stevie straight back into the first team.

We don't have strikers who are capabe of doing that. Perhaps blame whoever brought them in.

But again pointing the finger is not much use. We need to focus on getting someone in the summer.

Agreed B4F, I was pleased with what I saw today...just frustrating seeing a couple of players continually put the red shirt on.

People will be understandable angry but we need to brush ourselves and move on. It's another top team out of the way with only Chelsea and Newcastle from the top 6 left to play.

This is the most angry I've been so far this season just because of the pure dominance and chances we had and the very few Arsenal had. A lot of questions needs to be answered on why our finishing is so bad. Suarez had a fantastic record in the Dutch league, Kuyt has got 50+ goals for Liverpool, Adam was Blackpools top scorer last season.

All in all a disappointing match that has probably cost us fourth place and that's the reality of it

    Yeah same.

It does annoy me we go looking for the killer questions. It's bloody obvious we are short of quality in a few areas - thats the difference between all our draws and today. We are not a bad team but we need a real killer up front and some decent wingers.

I would argue 4th was never going to happen because of our finishers.

    They're simply not good enough.

    We must buy better.

Indeed, we have improved a lot which is positive, we just need that extra quality that can transform us to a top 4 team. Not the end of the world. <ok>

Still the F.A. Cup to play for!

Performance was so much better from the lads. Good passing and attacked well - created loads of good cchances. We haven;t played this well since Wolves when Stevie G wasn't starting...

Agreed. I'm not too downbeat because its been a **** lot worse in recent years.

We have a good core and as long as we build on that we'll be fine.

    I am so disappointed.

Yes we did play well in certain areas. But we have to face some facts:

Our strike force is just NOT good enough.

    Our creativity was non existent.

Our substitutions were just not good enough to try to change the game: too late too little

I am sad to say this but the responsibility must lie at the hands of Dalglish. He made the purchases and we need to have some new buys this summer. If we want champions league football, do we trust Kenny to make the right decisions. I am not so sure anymore. I think a more savvy and more up to date manager is needed.

I think Comolli is more accountable than Dalglish for the transfers...it's pretty much his ONLY job to jet around the world and find them

I agree with the general drift of this thread. What's the point in ranting. We showed again that we can dominate teams - the stats will show that Arsenal's bus was well and truly parked for the majority of the game. BUT our Achilles Heel was cruely exposed today.

However, we can't import anybody so we have to work with what we have got.

We have spent a huge amount of money and brought new players. We got rid of Roy and brought in Kenny.

Can we all say hand on heart that no one else could have done better than Kenny this season? Some of his decisions on the starting line up and substitutions have been puzzling too. I am not saying we should sack him but the expected improvement save for the Carling cup is not materialising.

    I am absolutely ****ing gutted.

This is for me is the worst defeat of the season by a long stretch.

I shall attempt to drink myself out of it later.
