Call me disloyal if you like, dont realy care, because I know where my heart lies, but I am not a lover of the Bruce regimen, not at all, he aint got flair, he dont do set pieces, he dont do attack, he sells our jems for coppers, A fan, no thanks. so for me Im going to try to make the better of the situation, at the cost of £10. and if I lose my tenner I should think I would be well pleased for most part. gonna bet £10, on Bruce to be sacked before xmas. Sunderland not to win either derby Sunderland to be bottom six at xmas Sunderland just escaping relegation. theres plenty more, dont mind losing money, just hate throwing it away at a lost cause, which IMO is Bruce, the man is clueless, check his stats out, nobody under his managership, has had a settled team. sir Alex must love him...... six points for sure.
Isn't gin meant to be a depressing drink to drink? Although I'm not a fan of Steve Bruce, I don't think things will get as bad as you say...... Well I bloody hope not!
well folks,,,,,,,,,,,,the reasoning. [1] sober, duty engineer, no alcohol allowed, [2] If I lose ,I only lose a tenner. [3] If the **** hits the fan , I will make money, although it will be another year of doom for me , Again, 52 years of doom and gloom, more than enough for anyone. dont know how many more I have left. [4] Disco, you cant prove me wrong at this stage, like I said happy to lose a tenner, BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT what if.
I'm not trying to prove you wrong mate and to be honest am not a fan of Bruce at all. I just reckon you're going to lose the tenner.
Which you're perfectly entitled to do Bill. I have my doubts too, but I'm prepared to wait and see what the squad looks like on the 1st September, before I say anything more. After all, we are still in June with over two months of the transfer window open. An awful lot can happen in that time, like Steve Bruce being poached from us to manage Barcelona
You should write childrens stories for a living with an imagination like that. I can't even imagine Yeovil poaching him.
History has a habit of repeating itself, as in Brucies case, more lives than bell bottoms , flairs and tight jeans.
Bill I have been very critical of the manager for several weeks now as well but to save myself a lot of heartache, i have decided to draw a line under it. There was much heated debate in April/May which has calmed down now since and the new season being only 8 or so weeks away now, lets look to the positives and hope SB has some kind of plan after all. Bruce has been huge disappointment to me and I wont deny that. I was totally convinced he was going to make a difference when he became our manager and went on record as saying so at the time. He hasnt really made that break through, or looked like doing so, in the 2 years he has been in charge IMO but he is there for the next 12 months at least (unless we are bottom at Christmas and I cant see how even the loyalty of SNQ could save him then) so lets face up to what he does from now until that time and focus on the good points. Personally, I dont have an axe to grind with Steve Bruce the man, just Steve Bruce the SAFC manager that I have lost faith in, so if he turns it round and has a good summer buying spree, then we are all winners. If he doesnt and we struggle, he will be gone anyway by christmas. I'd love to think it was the first scenartio and SAFC have a successful season but if its the second one, I'm comfortable with that as well. Dont cut yourself up about it.
This is so weird, this anti-Bruce thing. Yes, we had a bad patch after Xmas, but it wasn't a bad season. We finished 10th, we have a decent squad, and we will buy this summer. He's not the greatest manager in the world, but nor is he the worst. If I could press a button and swap him for O'Neill I would. But would I rather have Pardew, Jol, Hughes, McLeish, Hodgson, Allardyce, Grant, i.e. any of the realistic alternatives? No, of course not.
Dont have a problem Cest, just have clear glasses, no tints whatsoever, so for my cheap tenner I am here to be proved wrong, but Im putting a little money on doom, how many are going to put money on sucess, not even the daftest , so until xmas I am a winner stage one,,,,,,,,,,,,I dont like Bruce, amateur as a manager, but will take the cash, wont walk like Roy did, will hang on for the dosh, history will prove me right or wrong, but I bet history is on my side, cos the man wont walk, just grind us down, for the payout. and another season of my shortening life gone.
2 very, very poor second half season results and performances (3 in a row if you count in the season before he came here when he was with Wigan) leaves a lot of questions and precious few answers kidda. Bruce isnt the worst manager but he isnt the best we could have either. Needs to show he has a plan B up his sleeve now, cos plan A has been ****ed for 2 seasons in a row from jan to May and he hasnt had an answer yet.
