Rumours they've accepted 8mil plus a player, just depends on if the player wants to join nufc. If true who is it likely to be?

    Yer, heard that.

Could of had legs in it. Arsenal aren't going to pay the fee, but would let arshavin leave.

Pardew if Gonna loose cabaye would be pleased with arshavin.

Arsenal have the cash now so maybe if they do want him they'll pay what the barcodes want for him, without player swaps etc.

Arshavin is pipe, that, for me , would have been a wonder deal by Arsenal.

And Song went, so they are ****ing desperate for one! Song was a sneaky, under the radar dirtbag (I don't mind players having this trait, as it happens, Bally wasn't the most angelic...).

I think £12million and they'd sell Cabaye, despite their protestations, Ashley would see a £7million return as good business in a year.

That said, I'd stick my left nut on Cabaye remaining a Toon player till at least January.

Did he play in Europe? Cos that's often a sneaky clue, I know Tiote didn't.

If it's 8m plus Arshavin then we need to get him back in the form of his first 6 months in the Prem, or it's a great deal by Arsenal. Personally I hope it's Gibbs, we need a left back, but I know how unlikely that is. Cash only deal, I doubt Pardew would say no one would go for less than 20m if we were going to accept 12m.
Anyways, this is all nonsense, we have trips to France, Portugal and Belgium lined up, why would he want to leave? <whistle>

But Bally usually did it from the front and then smiled down on them. <ok>

Mush I believe playing in a Europa League qualifier doesn't make you ineligible for CL football with a different team in the same season anyhow, so not sure that will come into play. Ashley seems to be a decent businessman if anything so I'd doubt very much he'd entertain a swap including Arshavin given how unbelievably, shockingly crap that guy is considering the abundance of talent he had on the same pitch as him. I'd be surprised if one of the top clubs hasn't gone in for either Tiote or Cabaye but given Newcastle's stubbornness with fees (being stupidly over priced) they've probably baulked at the deal. Can't see Cabaye being too happy to remain there given their poor showing in the transfer window, it won't surprise me one bit if he leaves today.

I'm more inclined to think Tiote could shift, seems buying Anita was buying his replacement.

Cabaye is a very, very good player, not United & City standard, but anywhere else.

Mind, he'd walk into the current United midfield, no offence.

Not sure about that Mush, but we're done in the transfer market so it's not worth contemplating, especially whilst the Sat Nav still has his boots on. Kagawa will offer us more goals than Cabaye too, and I'd doubt Cabaye would come much cheaper than Kagawa. He is a Wenger-type player, he looks like he's made for Arsenal and if I was Wenger he'd probably have been well in front of Arteta and Gervinho as a transfer target but Wenger has lost the plot a bit...shame.

I could see Cabaye in a deep playmaker role, with Nani , Valencia & Kagawa.

    He's no Fellaini like.

Believe nothing you read on twitter until a respectable outlet had picked it up. That rumour came from a new sky sports news profile with 10 tweets and 10 followers.

I'm surprised SAF didn't keep after Dembele.

No, that guy gets better by the game - I dream of him and Rio having afro wars like two stags in the United dressing room but I guess Fergie doesn't have that same dream.

I doubt Nani will have as much impact this season, Fergie seems to have lost patience with him but it's no biggie, we still have Ashley "Tom Daley" Young and the world's best winger Antonio (biased of course) - just wish Young was FORCED to give Scholes his old number back. Prat, I really don't like him.

Cabeye looked demotivated and disinterested for the mags at Chelsea I thought. Looks ready to move. Arsenal would be best for him.

IMO Arshavin (still a young man) would be potentially a very good player for the mags. He was excellent for Russia recently, just lost confidence at Arsenal. In his own opinion, he said it was cos arsenal played him out of position, out wide.

Worth a punt I think, you don't go from world class to duffer overnight.
