Saying it now, he will go on to have a very good career at Real Sociedad and then in a few years probably get a move to the likes of Valencia,Sevilla or Atletico Madrid. He suits that league well.

Yeah Agree mate <ok> I'll never forget some of his cheeky chipped goals for us early on.
Shame, but no point keeping a player who isn't going to feature.

Oh we do. Was reported earlier that we had a 50 or 60% sell on fee.

decent enough fee, the important thing is that he's off the wage bill now.

Scored 14 goals in La Liga last season, and has seven this. As I stated above, I can easily seeing him moving to the likes of A.Madrid or even one of the big two in Spain. And should a big move happen, we get a cut of the fee. :)

Or we could try and bring him back ;)
Though tbh he seems like he wasn't up to the EPL's style. Good to see him doing well though

This league does not suit him also our current system does not help as well. He is not strong enough to play as the CF in our system.

Horses for courses and he just didn't fit the EPL. Good player and he seems to have settled well in Spain. Good luck to him.

Didn't he just score 4 goals in one La Liga game?? at 4mn euros I personally think he will be a steal he can play all across the front 4 and is a deadly finisher. I don't think we will get him and not sure he will won't to even come but I would still try. If the like of Silva, Cazorla, Ozil, oscar, hazard (i.e. technical players with not much strength) can thrive so can he. I always felt he was never given a chance. That being said I would get him as a WF not a St and move the likes of Theo/Pod up top. But if Fab can play upfront for Barca and Spain Vela can probably get used to playing upfront for us.

P.S. not saying he is as good as the above mentioned players just similar physical characteristics.

Aaaaah. He was glooooorious in some of the early Carling Cup rounds, scoring at least 3 chipped goals in 2 games. It didn't help that he was very young and leightweight when we first had him and had to compete for places with the likes of Henry and RVP. All the best to him, like others I think he'll do really well in Spain.
