Has the news that Pearson has ruled out any new signings been a bit of a buzz kill for anyone else? I'm looking forward to Saturday and all but that sense of "I wonder who we might bring in?" has gone for me. It's exciting to see new players make their debuts and I guess we won't see any now. I know we have Bakayogo in and I am looking forward to seeing him play but I don't think he'll start for a while and let's be fair, everyone wants to see players in more important positions come in.
In a way, yes. But things up at 'Boro seem to be just as bad... http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/football/middlesbrough/10578043._/
Nigel never said we was going to sign loads of new players. He said if it was possible and the deal was right he would. The loan window will start soon with the Premier League just over 2 weeks away from starting clubs will decide who will feature in the first team and who needs more experience. People would have been alot more disappointed if Nigel didnt say anything and come September we only signed Bakoyogo. The club has needed stability for a long time and we finally have some
Same here, don't need to believe all the ITKs twitter children now. Their still may be a surprise one, but its very doubtful, Pearson is always true to his word, isnt he OLM
I agree that we shouldn't be signing loads of players. IMO it never works. In the season we went down to League One, we signed something like 12 players and we all know what happened when Sven tried it. Our QPR counterparts have suffered that fate as well. With regards the loan market, it's great that we can get some talent in but inexperience cost us last season. Still, that Jesse Lingaard looks quite handy all of a sudden, maybe we'll get him back...
Im sure the players we have will be happy..not so much pressure for their places..no need to look over your shoulder lads what's the old saying about healthy competition?
