Married Angie Dickinson the lucky devil. Just read the sad story of their daughter Nikki who took her own life at the age of 40.

Many people are lazily called a genius ...

    ... few are, he was.

He left quite a legacy whether people always realise it or not.

    RIP

Just been a section on C4 news about him, and it was a real eye opener for me.

I'm ashamed to say that If someone had me asked to name one of his songs, I wouldn't have been able to give an answer.

I never realised just how many songs he wrote...Tom Jones, Aretha Franklin, The Carpenters, Cilla Black, Dionne Warwick, just some of the artists featured.

Wow, what a musical legacy, I'm definately going to look deeper into his music.

    R.I.P. Burt.

He wrote songs that were in the pop charts from the 1950's right up to the 2000's, every generation will know his songs.

Me for one, I'm ashamed to say.

I'm gonna have a bit of a Burt Bacharach night on YouTube tonight, quite looking forward to it.

Nothing to be ashamed about. As a musician, I followed him closely as his composing was absolutely amazing. A lot of the songs I learned to play piano were his pieces. My wife had no idea who he was, then I started playing his music to her last night and she was amazed how much she knew. No shame I’m not knowing who wrote something.
