Much as i wanted Burns to win, i thought Beltram was robbed. Surprised how easy Burns was caught by the big left of Beltram, you would have thought the Burns camp would have been aware of his main danger punch and planned accordingly. Beltram deserves a rematch.
please log in to view this image I had it by a round to Beltran. It wasn't a robbery IMO. It was close.
I thought Beltran won by a couple but fair play to Burns for fighting on with a fractured jaw. In the interest of fairness to both fighters there should be a rematch.
One judge [usa, i think] scored the fight 115 - 112 to Burns, that was robbery, IMO. Certainly Burns deserves credit for his courage but the ammount of holding he got away with was a joke. Bad decision and the crowd knew it.
As much as I admire the bravery and courage shown by Burns, he really has got away with one here. With back-to-back poor performances, he must re-group and try to reverse his alarming loss of form. Injuries, however painful are part and parcel of boxing and I think it's pretty clear that it will be a useful distraction against the plight of Beltran and moreover boxing's scoring judges. Pretty shameful.
Away from the fun poking on GC, the 115-112 scorecard was poor. I don't see how Beltran could only have won 4 rounds. It wasn't a robbery or anything, in the same way Barker's wasn't.
