Anyone else watching? Burnley making a good fist of it by sheer hard work. Mind I have been impressed with Di Maria's debut. He has been clattered a couple of times and took it. World class player.
United are appallingly bad though, there's just little about them. Amazing stat in the commentary, 'Di Maria cost £14million more than Burnley have spent in their entire history'. Incredible stat that.
I amazing. Just as I was posting this Maria went down with cramp. Couple of times I have tried to count the Burnley players as there seemed to be 3 of them to each united player. They have put in one hell of a shift, and are looking more tired now. But it looks like ManU are still struggling to take them on. ManU always had more good players than water carriers. Now the majority of the team are water carriers. And it is beyond me why Januzaj isn't getting games.
There's just no urgency or invention, something has gone horrifically wrong there. Yes, they lost probably the greatest ever manager, but how can a team with Mate, Rooney, Valencia, Januzaj and now Di Maria create so little, have so few ideas? It's extraordinary.
Burnley pressure the back three of united very quickly, they panic, hoof it upfield where the burnley CB's collect it and then play it out. So simple to play against
I agree Fergie was a great manager. But do you agree with me that he held on too long? The rot had already started before Moyes took over imo. Scholsie agrees with me nailed on penalty. I agree with Owen on MOTM Dave Jones for Burnley, put one hell of a shift in.
Aye. And when they lost the ball they were getting back and packing the front of the goal area. Left no room for Rooney and VanP's tricks.
You could say he hung on too long, or you could note that he won the title in his final season with a squad that wasn't even close to the standard of City & Chelsea. In a funny way, that unspectacular but effective title win was one of his biggest achievments.
Yeah but them having to grind out results will have had him worried big time. He knew he had too many water carriers. Normally they used to have holes in the team that needed filling and he bought the right fillers. Far to many he bought later on, were more like PolyFilla. Did Anderson actually manage to pass to a team mate after he came on?
But Fergie held on to him. hahaha Scholes talks a lot of sense but **** me his droning voice is wearing.
Well done to Burnley & it wouldn't surprise me burnley will get there first win of the season against us.
Aye you are. why the **** would I be gutted if palace scored? I don't give a rats ass about newcastle.
