I think itâs fair to say Bullard hasnât managed to start the season in quite the same sparkling form that he finished last season. This could be down to a lack of a pre-season or playing a more defensive role. I am NOT saying that he is playing bad though. However having just watched the highlights from Saturdays game (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15142992.stm), I think it is great to see Bullard being the first man to celebrate all three goals with the goal scorers. No matter what his form on the pitch is like he must bring such a brilliant buzz to the dressing room, I still smiling that we managed to sign him!!
Clapham I'd second that. And actually while he hasn't really been getting shots in his passing in the last few games has been every bit as good as Beckham and Rooney - genuinely breathtaking long and crossfield passing to feet. You don't get that with a standard Championship (or exceptional Norwich City) player.
Who's the bitterest man on the thread the bitterest man on the thread the bitterest man on the thread the bitterest man on the thread
Welcome to Hell sorry Hull the most boring, negative team I have ever had the displeasure in watching! Wake me up when its all over!
Whats all this negativity with Hull fans about Bullard? City wanted him out because they couldnt afford him, and Bullard wanted out of Hull. Bullard wanted to come to us after his successful loan last season, and we wanted him. Surely everyone got what they wanted??
It's probably not all Hull fans, but this particular clown has even taken the time to post on TWTD threads concerning Bullard as well as the Not606 Ipswich board, he's either got some major OCD problems, or Bullard shagged his missus while he was up there!
Nice one welly, mind you I cant blame Jimmy for wanting away from Hull its an absolute armpit of a place, we went there last season christ what a dump.
Maybe OLM just does not agree with what your saying i think it's called an opinion just like your opinion on Hull
Never said you was wrong mate but if you had a valid point and not just a 90 minute visit on a bus seeing about 5% of Hull
Actually I'm going to step in to defend HUll. Well, the place, anyway, not so keen on the team Not that it matters, I know. I was raised in Suffolk (Bury and Glemsford) but lived in Hull from '88-98 and I can honestly say it was the most interesting and vibrant place I've lived. I worked in Andy's Records and Our Price, and lived on Spring Bank near the city centre, so got to see a lot of the place. Surprisingly active cultural scene - the Hull poets, Spring Street Theatre and of course the mighty Adelphi on De Grey St, where not only did I see loads of ace bands, including the likes of Primal Scream, Kingmaker and Echo & the Bunnymen, but I also played there loads in my own band, the Mandelbrot Set, in the early 90's. It's got its share of sh!tholes, naturally - Bransholme, Greatfield etc, but there are some wonderful parts too, and the good bits far outweigh the crap, or at least they did in my day. It';s always had a rep for being grim but, because of where it is, nobody really goes there for tourism purposes unless you're going through it over the bridge or on the ferry, but honestly, it's rather ace! Mind you, Suffolk ain't half bad either...
Brook Street, Fourth Avenue and Hunts Hill, the white house opposite the Social Club! Used to knock around with Steve Gardiner and Fred Lay... My real name's Dave Gibbons, FWIW.
" Not crocked yet then? Won't be long. " Grow up,,,, your not really helping the stereotypical view of a negative moaning Yorkshireman, are you..... dreary dreary Yorkshire
I lived in second avenue, hunts hill next to church hall, kings rd, and a few other places on the Barrats Estate. I saw Steve in Hadleigh last year where I now live and Im sure I was told Fred died suddenly a few months ago. Hope Im wrong on that last one.
(Sorry everyone else) Yeah, Fred passed away suddenly, very sad. Me, Fred and Steve were in a band together in Glemsford, Made In Japan. Lots of happy memories of those days; I still go back there to see my folks occasionally... and generally coincide with a trip to PR., too, of course.
