It´s looking more & more likely that big H will be leaving Aston Villa in the summer... still can´t see him coming back to LCFC.

    Better than Howard surely.

No disrespect to Big Steve but he is surely past his sell-by date.

Not sure we'd pay the wages he'd be looking for - although he might take a pay-cut to play for us again. I agree that Howard probably needs replacing but I think we'll go for someone cheaper and maybe someone who doesn't expect to play every week. Someone who comes to mind is Andy Gray from Barnsley. Out of contract in the summer I think and caused us problems both times we've played him this season.

We want to get promoted so i think Andy Gray is absolutely awful, but that sort of played. I would love Heskey.

    Andy Gray <laugh>

    He's 34 now.

    No different to Howard.

Well, it is the Steve Howard type of striker that we're looking for. Must admit, i thought he was a couple years younger than he is but I think we need a bit of experience in the front line if we're going to lose Howard - especially with players like Waggy and Schlupp who are still learning the game. He would be cheap also in termsof wages and would be a good option and probably someone who wouldn't rock the boat if he doesn't play every week but is a good honest pro who will give his all when required and will add depth to the squad - the sort of player every successful squad has.

I was actually quite impressed with him in the two games this season. Held the ball up well, caused our defenders no end of trouble, played with great nous and intelligence and bagged a couple of goals as well.

No-one is as unselfish as Heskey up front, and thats what we have been missing imo, how many times have we seen a striker blast the ball over when he could have passed it to the other striker for a tap-in <grr>

Heskey is still good enough for Championship football imo.
