Saw a report saying they won't go to £100m but prepared to offer £80m plus Bobb on loan for a season ....
I saw a report about a loan for a season and struggled to see how that was a positive to us and why it would cause us to reduce the price. Drop the price £20M and we will let you help develop one of our young players for one season.
Palmer is looking like a great player, but I don't think he would have come to us when the bright lights of London were on offer.
I'd be more concerned if it were Rodri leaving.them. I don't see Bruno as a like for like replacement for De Bruyne. I saw Citeh were looking at Danny Olmo.
I think they have already groomed Foden to step in as DeBryne's successor. What they really need is someone to replace Gundogan. Olmo can do that
Personally I'd be open to a move that saw Rico Lewis and Oscar Bobb head in this direction - but only on a permanent basis. Both very talented youngsters with time on their side. If you offered say £30-40m plus Bobb and Lewis I think I'd take that. Clear any outstanding payments for Bruno plus a little profit, with two youngers players coming in that cover problem positions for us (RW and FB) for a long time.
If Howe gets upset and throws his toys out the pram I can see Bruno going. Of we don’t start improving the squad he will go anyways.
Gossips sez they want Eze instead: Manchester City are considering a move for Crystal Palace winger Eberechi Eze, with the 26-year-old England international having a release clause of £60m plus add-ons. (Mirror), external Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad want 33-year-old Belgium playmaker Kevin de Bruyne, which has led to Manchester City weighing up a deal for Eze. (Guardian)
