Dont shoot me its all over twitter

RT @Milanello: Milan were also in contact with Zenit regarding Bruno Alves, but they wanted Milan to surpass the €14m offer from QPR. Also on Sky Italia

and

from The Mirror
QPR have had a bid rejected by Inter Milan for striker Luc Castaignos

If the first one comes off, I might just cream.

The Dutch kid looks like a good prospect, but is he better than what we have at the moment? I can't see him swapping a bench in Italy for a bench in Shepherds Bush....!

Now we're talking! Better than Samba even. But this can't be, can it?

You'll struggle to find a tougher no nonsense centre half than Bruno Alves, hard as nails. Brilliant for Portugal at the Euros.

Can't see it myself. If we signed Alves, it would be huge.

I bet the journos are loving the day TF said:

1. There is money to spend
2. We have a few more targets

It's given them a job.

I would even stretch to £12.50 for him but it would have to wait until pay day.

I thought the original post said €14mil - which would probably be about £10mil?

And Flyer, I think he's a current Portugal international - what did you say about not minding old players, as long as they're quality?

Yeah but not at that price, its just chucking money away. No problem on a free or a few million but £10m is insane with no resale value.

A real no nonsense center half whos good in the air. Excatly what we need. The price is a bit steep but who cares about money around here anymore ;) .

We must make sure not to let him take a penalty though :emoticon-0103-cool: .

That would be a 'Marquee' signing compared to some of the 'Gazebo' signings we've been linked to...<laugh>

31 in November. Far too much money and although he was good at the Euros isn't the quickest even now.

IMO too early to start spending this kind of money.. This year should consolidation and 14m would be worth two good players for this.
