Well for you hardy souls who were there This didn´t sound much of a game, I hope the one point brought some cheer As we might have had none in the frame, There didn´t seem much football played Though conditions didn´t help much, Even when the ref came to our aid The win we weren´t able to clutch, And although it sounded at times As dire as anything yet, The defence showed positive signs But that´s just as good as it gets, But playing as poorly as this And still take a point from the game, Means someone up there´s made a wish That we keep our Premier League name, For this one we could well have lost And Saints can be feeling quite vexed, So I hope we won´t count the cost At Sunderland and Wigan next. OTBC Have a good week all, Yours (I´m tempted to say that one point is always better than none, which it is, but in this case that´s probably very little consolation for you who were there, but it´s still one point closer to where we want to be)
Hi RBF, can't believe the reactions of one or two on here, they've got very short memories, when I first started watching City, not only were we in the third tier, that third tier was broken down into North and South to save the clubs some money spent on travelling expenses, we're a long, long way from that now!
I´ve been there and done it with you dave, who´s to say that today´s point (dour as it was) won´t be the one that keeps us up. Even in a performance like today´s, there´s always something positive to clutch at, I´m sure if anyone asked Bunn and the defence, they´d agree anyway.
I think this explains the point entirely, we are a long way from that, but the team is playing with a mindset born from the eighties
I don´t care what you say One point is better than none, And always will be every day Even if watching isn´t much fun, And 17th place that will do If higher than that we can´t make, And that is the truth, carrabuh When there is such a lot at stake.
