Ruddy, our man at the back Who´s big and tall and brave, Is proving that his hands are safe He´s grown with every save, And Rudd, when called upon to show What he can do in goal, Has in no way let anyone Down, filling in the role, Naughton our young on loan Spur Is fleet a foot, and neat, And when he joins in our attack It gets us off our seat, And likewise on the other side Marc Tierney´s so impressed, Us all, both in defence and when He attacks with much zest, In the heart of defence stands Our towering Barnett L, Whose head´s a magnet for the ball And who covers so well, Martin, Mr. Versatile Has stepped up to the plate, And filled in like a hand in glove That central spot, of late, Not forgetting De Laet though Who impressed more than most, In our first games, with speed and touch And a goal, he could boast, And so into the engine room Paul Lambert´s old domain, So many there are proving strong And coping with the strain, Fox, he of the golden pass Is cool and calm and quick, To spot an opening here or there Which helps to make us tick, Bradley Johnson has for me Though, shone through in midfield, Tough, no nonsense, with a touch That makes him look a steal, Crofts, we know what he´s about All action for the cause, To be relied upon if he´s Needed to man the oars, Bennett who can put a sweet Cross in, like no-one can, Is also quick and tricky too A more than useful man, And Pilkington who seems at home On either foot to me, Will cause defenders his fair share Of problems, wait and see, Wesley Hoolahan, we know How much he can create, But this year he´s added as well A considerable work-rate, Right up in the firing line Our choices are a few, Some big, some small, who play their part While some stay in the queue, Holt, who although yet to show Just how much of a force, He could be in this league, I´d say Don´t yet rule out the ´horse´, And while he´s taking a back seat Steve Morison´s the man, To run the forward line, and lead The 4-4-1-1 plan, Martin C, a talent who Could shine upon this stage, Time could still be on his side He´s really still no age, Jackson too, just needs a chance To join in with the crew, We saw last year, that with a run The damage he can do, And those not mentioned here, are too So much a vital part, Of what Paul Lambert and his staff Have worked at from the start, All working with the one accord To reach their common aim, All brothers in arms joined as one To win each and every game.
