Should he just have the surgery now?

He'll be out for around 10 weeks if he does.

Rumour is, though, that he's thinking of postponing it so he can play versus Spartak.

I think he should just get the operation done and get back when he's fit - if he properly does himself in by playing whilst injured, it does us and him (and Scotland - despite us looking at the 2016 Euros now) no good at all.

Wanyama's suspension looks like it might even influence his decision - that would be mental. Ambrose and Mulgrew in midfield is all the defensive shield any team would need.

If he feels he can do a job against Spartak then yeah. IF we make it through he'll have time to get the operation and recover before the next round.

I would like to have broon for that game, but I would also want him foe the last 16 which would be touch and go if he waits so I guess its best to get him sorted.

But, when he's played recently, he's played a maximum of an hour before going off - reducing us of the tactical option of a sub if required (sounds like a silly moan, I know).

If he plays against Spartak, he'll go off at half time probably.

If he properly injures himself, he'll be out far longer.

If we're going to be in the CL or the Europa, we could do with him then.

We beat Barca without him (and Hooper).

We can beat Spartak without him and Victor <ok>

I think we need Forrest back for the Spartak game. He terrified their LB when he came on in Moscow.

ffs has he no common sense? Get the Op and get yourself sorted and then worry about playing.

It is indeed, Broony's not the sharpest tool in the box is he?

I always remember when he was at Hibs during the time when players apparently spoke to the owners in an effort to get rid of John Collins. He was answering all questions with the same response "I don't know", but when he was asked "Did you speak to the owners?" he replied ...."I don't know". <laugh>

    On John Collins' first day in the job at Hibs, he allegedly ripped his shirt open and said to the players;

"This is what you've got to live up to, boys" <laugh>

    I properly dislike Collins' punditry.

He says a quick sentence, then just lists supposed attributes - similar to Hansen but with a much more annoying accent.

"He tends to get involved in the game well.
    Power
    Pace
    Precision
    Perseverance
    Passing
    Making space
    Cutting out passes
He's a good player. A good, good player"

He sounds like a phone sex pest.

Brown shouldn't make the decesion. The club should book him in for his op. Spartik are howling anyway.
