Broken finger ...

    Hairline fracture on a finger on my left hand and also ripped off the nail on the middle finger...

    No reason other than to point out that it hurts like ****!

    No decent painkillers either!

    I was helping the father in law build decking and I was hammering in a wedge of wood into a gap, missed and smashed the mallet at full force into the two fingers!

    DIY with a hangover!!

    Best painkillers you can get over the counter are Paramol. Get them from one pharmacy and get some Cuprofen Plus from another. You won't be able to buy them both from the same shop because they both contain codeine. That'll little cocktail should sort out your pain. Failing that, there's always suicide <ok>
