After the tragic passing away of the great Windsor Davies, time for a poll I think. ER puts on his Thinking Woman's Crumpet Hat and pontificates learnedly...................hmmm.
1) Porridge 2) Only Fools 3) The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin Special mentions go to George & Mildred, Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em, and Rising Damp.
Never watched it but it looks utter ****, on a par with Only Fools And Horses. Why is it "technically" not British?
Miranda for me. Her falling over things and acting like a goofball had audiences and viewers in stitches. Why had no one had thought of it before? Pure, original entertainment.
Rising Damp was actually quite funny. Black Books, too. Most 'British' sitcoms are absolute English, middle-class ****e like To The Manor Born, The Good Life and Ever Decreasing Circles. Utter drivel for aged morons. Red Dwarf is fantastic.
