Gerhard Struber sheds light on Bristol City's transfer stance after Robins draw with Cheltenham Bristol City have made five signings this summer since confirming the appointment of Gerhard Struber https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport.../gerhard-struber-sheds-light-bristol-10376971
I would say a couple of decent signings (at least) are a must before the season starts especially with our injury list I see Dolan, ex Blackburn striker signed for Espanol or Celta Vigo depending on which story you read ! Either way it looks like he’s settled on Spain, and who can blame him !
this is a seasonal tale of woe ... seems unique to Bristol City .... go on loan or get transferred in and spend at least 8 weeks+ of the season with injury.......... be interesting to see Benarous at PLYMOUTH was highly rated and next best thing to sliced bread .... a good season or 2 and Plymouth cash in with a nice little earner! Nahki top scorer [ top5 ] in League 1 Luton bounce back and Nahki in top 5 next season of champs!!!!!
Benarous is only on a 12 month deal at Plymouth. For me, we were right to let Nakhi go, he isn’t the future. His goals and pace were slowing. He couldn’t compete at this level anymore for me.
Mehmeti actually passed the ball and 'found a man' twice against Plymouth. Has Struber transformed Mehmeti ?
Exclusive:Manchester United agree eighth summer loan exit https://www.manchesterworld.uk/spor...-united-agree-eighth-summer-loan-exit-5243655 Manchester United goalkeeper Radek Vitek has agreed to join Bristol City on loan for the forthcoming season Bristol City closing in on Man Utd transfer agreement Bristol City closing in on Man Utd transfer agreement Bristol City are set to sign the young Manchester United goalkeeper Radek Vitek on a season-long loan, despite already having three shot-stoppers on their books.
Maybe it’s just easier for Riis and Mehmeti to understand each other’s instructions??!!!!!! The others will shout in English so there’s a split second delay due to translation which makes all the difference!!!!
interesting comment from "a friend" ... on the fringes of "knowing" ... dont know if he meant the Man utd keeper .. or ... in next week could be a surprise addition [ think he meant outfield ]
He signed 12 months loan Man Utd reserve goalkeeper -furking hell goalkeeper and goal scoring striker what is happening at Bristol City we’re getting it right at long last. Another quality striker please. I will be a happy bunny then.
We can only registrar 25 players (like every other club) we’ve currently got 27 so we’ve got to get rid before adding. With Manure’s keeper joining I would expect Lewis Thomas maybe not being registered. We are still two over the 25 so can’t really add until we’ve released a few. They may take a chance not to add McNally until Jan and have a reshuffle as he’s not back till November at best.
It's nice to see some transfer activity that is getting some good reviews, instead of why on earth did we do that deal? Finally a goalkeeper with a good heritage at Man Utd and let's hope he puts Max firmly in his place as a rotational type player that we use sparingly and keep for serious injuries as and when they occur. I must say the activity level has surprised me but it's about time someone took the bull by the horns and create a potentially competitive squad that could be in with a shout. Well it's not long now and let's hope that sometime before the big kick-off we bring an absolute block buster, or two? Bring it on boys.
Another Loan for Vitek Vitek enjoyed an impressive campaign on loan with Austrian side BW Linz last season and there was clamour amongst sections of the Red Devil fanbase for the Czech shot stopper to be given a chance this summer by Ruben Amorim after Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir’s struggles. However, Vitek, who stands an imposing 6’5 tall, was left out of United’s pre-season tour of the United States with both the club and player “focus[ed] on securing a move in the summer transfer window.”
