Just had some bad news actually. Picked Wife and Daughter, along with a friend each, up from an outdoor event last night. Driving her home, daughter announces she wants to move the ewes today. Just got a text asking me to meet her in the field they're in with the tractor and trailer at 12.30.
Well I guess a dad can never say no to his daughter. But it does bring into question what priorities you taught her when she was growing up .
Can't believe you are missing the game to marshall a load of Liverpool fans.... Bloody Ewe'll never walk alone... Pffft. How long is it likely to take, will you catch the second half, just to see Watters third and our fifth of the day??
Realistically, a point from today's game would be far from being a disaster. After all, we're still in transition and the Robins will buoyed up by their home win over the hatters and last year's double over us I still think we'll win though
To be honest Clingo, head is saying the draw is most likely but my heart is holding out for the win, by a decent margin too. If we can get on top early on, the crowd will turn quite quickly as they're only just starting to feel some positivity over there (here?) whereas we've been quite bubbly with what we've seen from our lot thus far.
Wurzels strong favourites to win @ 5/4 - we're the outsiders @ a decent 23/10. Just looked for something more ambitious again. Found it - City to win the game with a 1 goal handicap @ 6/1
It'll take a couple hours. I'll be following it through text updates on my phone. Bound to get a bo!!ocking off daughter at some point when some of the sheep make a bid for freedom because I'm not paying attention. If you see on the news there's been an incident with a tractor and trailer load of sheep in the Knutsford area, you'll know I was celebrating Watters 3rd while at the wheel.
It'll be interesting to see who starts today and how they set up. If we play like we did against brum I think we'll be fine. Might as well go for it. No midweek game this week. Some players have got some miles in their legs already though. O'Dowda in particular. Most of the other front 4 well rotated.
I agree that we should go for it and while it might make sense to leave O'Dowda on the bench, I think he would be the inspiration for good performances all round. I'm sure he'll want to make a point to his previous employers .
I hope we don't need the bench sitters to win it though. Etete hasn't impressed me at all so far - early days I know. Harris is a bundle of energy who will stretch defenders late on but he can't seem to convert. Colwill for Sawyers on the hour though could be a good move.
