Forget the first home game, that will always be a sell out. What of the rest, has these signings done enough to bring back the missing supporters. The pubs drinkers, the dis-illusioned, the indecisive. Have we got a team that will put bums on seats, or will they wait to see how the new team does. Sucess will bring them back, but will they return before hand? One more major signing of a striker, will have them flocking back IMO.
It all depends on performances mate! I fear we may see an initial fall in attendences due to the poor second half of last season. However, if we start playing as well as I believe this team can, then the crowds will start flocking back. Another important factor is atmosphere..More of our fans need to take a more proactive role in supporting the lads, and this will make the SoL a more exciting place on match days.
...... I think you could well be right ..we want a "real" striker up front....nice to see a bit of brain coming into mid field as well.....fingers crossed we can move some on with all our best....what a great way to leave a club by the Man U boys by the way....you`d want to go like that rather than spitting venom and resentment like some transactions...beautiful....
Dont think we will initially see an improvement, but when folks are back from holiday, bills caught up with, then maybe, sometime after October perhaps, then again depending on performance, and by performance, I mean beating the Mags.
Already heard stories of undecided people choosing to renew season tickets ... others, to get their first season card in years. There will still be people not 100% convinced but the wheels are rolling and definitely moving in the right direction. Quinn & co know they still need that marquee striker signing and perhaps with a left winger that will be the icing on the cake for many. Imo the club have so far made all the right moves and there's a good buzz around the place, can't wait for the 1st home match, not long too go!!
