First off, a mates kindly given me a free ticket for this - I'll be north stand lower if anyone wants to meet up for a chat before the game/ put the world to rights. Happy to do so! Kinda game we really should be winning if we're going to do what we need to this season. I live in Bristol and am taking my City friend with me ( he's going away end ) so I need to be able to laugh at him in the car! It's important! They are struggling, however their one noticeable result of the season is a most impressive 1-0 win at Boro ( who could be the team to beat ). For what it's worth, I think we'll win. I think the side Mick picked last night makes it quite obvious as to his lineup plans for the Bristol City game but I could be wrong - it would indicate - Gerken Chambers/ Smith/ Berra/ Knudsen Niles / Skuse/ Douglas / Fraser Pitman / Sears. Personally, I thought Yowerth was excellent and I'd like to see him given a go alongisde Berra. I thought Murphy still doesn't appear remotely fit so I would try to avoid using him. McGoldrick is our best player IMO so I'd like to see him line up - So I'd probably swap Yowerth / McGoldrick for Pitman / Smith. Chambers has to be on borrowed time at RB - Malarczyk player pretty well bar Rooney being too strong so I wouldn't be adverse to him playing RB. With us having a far stronger squad this season, it's actually quite difficult to guess as to the seven bench players! Going to assume it will be - Bialokowski/ McGoldrick / Murphy / Toure / Bru / Parr / I would assume these 6, then Oar/ Tabb / Coke / Yowerth / Emmanuel would all miss out ( sadly ) That's a pretty decent 22! Still have Bishop + Hyam to come back. Gotta be time for a few of the lads who aren't going to be playing this side of Christmas to go out on loan. Haven't even mentioned the likes of McDonnell / Donnolly / Benyu and Crowe who all are supposed to have promise. Yowerth certainly seems worth having some faith with though I'll be annoyed if we keep leaking goals if Mick doesn't change the backline up somewhat. It's too damn slow. 2-0 I'll go. COYB
I have to say I was surprised at yesterdays line up. I couldn't find a decent stream first half so can't say I really saw the match but the players did us proud. I'll go for a 2-0 win. Sears and Skuse.
You and me both was surreal - but I think gave Mick perhaps more questions as opposed to answers. Very interested international break on the horizon and I'd be interested to see how many he let go and play elsewhere.
