Most of us agree with Mark Hughes on the one though Oslo! We can't just dump all our "best" misfiring players in the squad and hope that they click cus' they're good. Hoillet and taraabt will feature heavily this year, mark my words. But they need to be phased in slowly to aid with the gelling process. We've had similar team Vs Walsall/City/Chelsea now, and are starting to reap the dividends of a consistent lineup.

Your team is suicidal, we would get beaten by 4 or 5 with that at least. Thats a 424 because there would be no chasing back by any of the front 4.

I am pretty sure it will take several more games for MH to confirm in his own head what his best 11 are. Remember, that may mean some of our best individual players not playing. Sometimes Individuals have to loose out because other less talented players can offer more to a team effort. Think that's what will happen to Adel. No doubt he is our most talented individual but others like SWP or Mackie may offer more to the overall team.

No, it's a team that might just win a game! And they will chase back with MH up their *rse if they don't. BZ does it all the time anyway. Adel showed end of last season he can. Hoillet will have to learn to and quick.

You're absolutely right. It's the sum of the whole that matters.

Even if they do chase back, none of them are very good at tackling so they wont win the ball anyway.

I take the point, but I would rather watch Taarabt ahead of SWP all day long!

Has to be a foundation building process... We have the best squad of all time. We have a team of world class talent now . Adel Taarabt should thrive in this environment as he is a wonderful footballer .. He now has to mesh into this foundation .
I have said from day one on here that Taarabt and Faurlin will become world superstars and I stand with that
I will also defend that because I know this 100%
As belief grows and it will then soon we will confident to express ourselves but at the moment we have to become solid first IMO

Totally agree with this. We must become hard to beat first and then develop over the season

Me too. No contest. Just think it will take more time to go firm on our best 11 and best formation. During this process Adel might loose out while we try and keep it tight. I don't want to spend good money watching SWO running for the corner flag for 90 odd minutes

I think also that we should the level of all performances go up with the intense competition.
Some of the players will take time to respond I am sure ... those with the cool gene will find it easier.
Cool Gene? ... Look at our new keepers as an example on what I mean ... he is soaked in it compared to Rob Green ... both brilliant keepers but when it's called upon then they can take it to a higher level ... Cesar looks like he eats pressure whereas Rob Green has those Elijah Wood features and you just know he is about to drop the trout at any moment.... Taarabt has the Cool Gene is fact he sometimes overdoses on it ... his only fault. Faurlin and Granero both have it. Anton nearly has it. Mackie hasn't ... Cisse has it etc etc ... Mbia and Diakite both have it ... make your own lists but I think you will see this spread through and embed ... when it does then people will start to take notice. In the meanwhile expects people to ignore us after all he have been thrashed a few times and people only remember the score lines. Confidence is everything look at what we did in the championship it's exactly the same science and has **** all to do with formations etc you can't produce this it all has to happen naturally.
