Last season I saw Sunderland murder Chelsea in the best SAFC performance in my 51 year lifetime. I also witnessed The lads finish in the TOP HALF of the TOP DIVISION for only the 3rd time in my lifetime. I'm now supporting a team with more TOP QUALITY players than ever before in my lifetime. And I'm also FULLY BEHIND a manager who has assembled that team, whilst also turning a PROFIT due to HIS brilliant dealings in the transfer market.

Some people have short memories and really need to get real....Jeff Whitley, Gareth Hall, anyone?

Happier than Shameless with a shotgun in Newcastle city centre.

    Here Here
We have stability in having a good owner and Chairman and i have said all along a manager needs 3-5 years before you can really judge him in that time thay are his players and has no excuses

I am pleased with our progress slow but progress non the less and withour such an injury prone season i think we could have been a little higher

Not sure we are in profit anymore but hey. It ain't my money.

The great thing is Bruce has put us in the spotlight as an ambitious club once again. SSN is full of us this evening.
Meanwhile the silence up the road is deafening.

not sure I am that happy....

I'm pleased for Bruce because he took some understandable but unfair crap mlast season and a bad result will bring it on again, me, I am delighted.

It's a great time for us.

I was one of those who lost a bit of faith in Bruce, but i went on record and gave him a fresh slate at the end of the season.

I feel justified in that decision already.

How many new players will we need at xmas, and how many more in the summer? how do we get a settled team, appart from saggy face, how many managers need to change the team every season, and I mean virtually the whole team. just the same at Brum, and I ,as you know, dislike Bruce as manager, so I would say, check the events by xmas, then look for his traditional downturn. but do yourselves a favour, dont count your chickens.

Said all along I'm willing Bruce to prove me wrong.

That will only happen on the pitch, so lets see what happens there the coming season.

    I'm feeling deflated now.
What would Bruce have to do to get unconditional backing from our fans. Sign Messi?
When you doubt Bruce. You doubt Quinn, his direct employer. That to me is shocking given what Quinn has done for my club.

Cyprus is right. If there's ever been a spell to be proud of Sunderland recently it's this week.

Yet the ****ing soap boxes come out.

You have just confirmed that you definately have lost the f*cking plot.

There is not another poster on these boards who writes so much negative drivel.

Like Davros says - go ane support the CRAAS!!!!

Agreed Davros. Only a few short days ago Brucie was being slated by many on these boards for selling Henderson and not being active in the transfer market. Well the last 48 hours have shown you dont need to be shouting from the rooftops to be grafting away at the coal face and his signings will give us a different looking team from last season. Im sure there are more to come so WELL done Steve Bruce.
