View attachment 22584 vs Tonight see's us make the relatively short trip to Brighton to take on Gus Poyets side who still have aspirations of making the playoffs. It will be the first visit we have made to the Amex Stadium and hopefully we can come back with all 3 points. We finally won a game at home on Saturday as we fought back from 2-0 to beat Bolton 3-2 although they did have 2 players sent off in the second half. Brighton conceded a last minute equaliser from Henri Lansburys on saturday as they drew 2-2 with Nottingham Forest. 2-2 was the score when we met Brighton earlier in the season and on that occasion we led twice through goals from Wilson and Pritchard however we were pegged back on both occasions with goals from Mackail-Smith and LuaLua. Anyway as always the away games in this league are extremely tough and Brighton have only lost 3 games at home all season which is very good for the championship. They will be looking to make it 4 home wins in a row tonight however that being said the form over the last 6 has been rather inconsistent taking 8 out of an 18 points available we have taken 7 points out of our last 18 available so really the two teams are in similar form and like usual its hard to predict a result. My head says we will lose as Brighton are strong at home but when we play away anything can happen.
I had us down to lose this one 1-2 but I didn't know Kerkar would be on the bench. Watch him come on for the last 30 minutes and set up, or score, four goals with his bewildering footwork. The guy is like Messi and Ronaldo rolled into one.
Evening all Charlton: Hamer; Solly, Wiggins, Morrison, Dervite; Hughes, Jackson (c), Pritchard; Wilson, Harriott, Kermorgant Subs: Button, Taylor, Stephens, Gower, Kerkar, Fuller, Haynes Wilson in for Fuller and we switch to 4-5-1. Not happy with Pritchard out wide again, but oh well.
Why do you assume that? I would have thought Wilson and Harriotts (as the BBC call him) would be wide, with Pritchard "in the hole".
