I think it shows just how on the edge we are and clinging on, realistically from the very start of the season we were never playing for the play-offs, we have been so tauntingly close all season and hope really is a killer, it would make every-ones life so much easier if our chances were mathematically gone.

Without taking credit from MM and TC for making us resilient I do think part of the reason we have remained so close, yet so far, for the past month is the trailing off of the lower play-off pack, but we havnt really taken advantage so the door has remained ajar but a little out of reach to push open.

I think for me it's more the fact that Mick has always said 'this is not the time to be playing youngsters' when we've got something competitive to play for, so having a manager with that mindset means that youngsters are only likely to get game time when we've nothing to play for. Youngster do have to earn the right to be in the team but considering we give players who put in only very average performances every week you feel like some youngster surely deserve a chance ahead of those first team players.

The one that gets me is Hewitt, Chambers is not a RB and has been caught out a fair few times this season against teams. Hewitt made a few mistakes at the start but they were no worse than Chambers and he showed far more going forwards. I don't want youngster just chucked in but given some of the poor performances of some of our more senior players it'd be nice to see them just get a bit of a run. As I say particularly Hewitt

Not something we'll have to worry about Weighty <laugh>

We must have better players in the Under 11s than bloody Taylor.

Wordsworth starting, I did not expect that!!! Good that Mick's varying it up abit although not 100% convinced by Wordsworth I just hope he shows a bit of patience with him like he has with Hyam and Tabb as the guy does have talent and differs from our other midfielders as he has the potential to create and score goals.

Big shock though Taylor not even on the bench, looks like the writing is on the wall with that one, I knew it would happen despite putting in a MOTM display a couple of weeks ago I just knew it wouldn't be long before he was out of the team again, Mick you're great but by god you don't have annoy the hell out of me

Also though, disappointing we haven't got that extra spirit about us because even with the players we have, another 5% performance over the course of the season would have closed that gap for us.

Pretty boring wasn't it, not much either way. I mean it's great how Mick has got us from looking like we were likely to go down to having an outside chance at the playoffs on an absolute shoestring budget but watching this just doesn't really inspire me, we need to show more intent and be more creative on the ball.

As it has done most of the season our only threat is from set pieces or Cresswell (McG wonder goal obviously not on the cards). I'd like to see Wordsworth in the Williams position, think Williams is a bit powder puff so far up there and in the past I've been impressed with Wordsworths runs into the box and he has a bit more of a physical presence.

We haven't had a lot going forward, but it's encouraging how quickly Brighton's attacks are snuffed out before they pose any kind of threat. That's something to build on at least.

Watching it with no commentary means I can make my own view on the action without being influenced by the commentators.
It looked like we were at least trying to attack, without too much guile though.

Very true although reading into reports that's been the case for them all season. Solid defence, lots of possession but lack of punch upfront. So this game is pretty much going how both teams seasons have been, does it have a draw written all over it?

Is it just me or could this game do with someone like Taylor coming on 2nd half in the Williams position? I think wordsworth and Hyam have been decent enough in the centre just need more around Murphy to support him.

And, unlike watching a game from the stands - without the opinions of everyone around you either!

I still don't like Chambers as RB it makes us look unbalanced.
