    I hope you are always lucky enough to be in a position to be moralistic about jobs.

    People could also work for any of those for idealistic reasons - to better their corporate ethics.

    That's a bit harsh on Apple. They're such a caring company they've insisted on the installing anti suicide nets at their suppliers' factories. Tim Cook is gay so he has to be nice too...

    So that just leaves 99.99% of companies that are ok to work for then.

    Maybe but you can only exclude the ones who know about.

    I had a boss who said he wouldnt hire any women or any non white men. I left as soon as possible after that so I was in that situation and rectified it.

    Good on you. I once had a boss who wanted to make me more ruthless. Liked the guy as a person but ran a mile.

    Perhaps I'm just a bit cynical.

    Got sacked by the boss many years ago for refusing to drink alcohol at an after work get together in a pub before Christmas. The bastard told the DSS I'd walked so had no benefits for 6 weeks.

    Before anyone starts I'm having a can of Draught Guiness right now, my fundamentalist days are in the distant past :)
