Can I have the lottery numbers? You’ve seem to predicted a lot of the future.

There won’t be riots, people will say they will but there won’t be. Lots of bluster but will fizzle down to marches odd scuffle because they can have a fight. But not riots

    Hope you're right Rod.
Can only say that my feelings towards remainers has changed.
I have gone from acceptance of a different point of view to one of wanting to throttle them. I detest them for their view of a democratic vote.
If it can happen to me it won't take much for others to take it further.

Oh I hope you are right but something tells me you won't be. As for the lottery numbers... course you can. It won't be the winning ones. That's for me. So I can buy thr fruit market land and build a new stadium for Rovers :)

There is a lot of irate people and their anger is getting worse and worse each time remainer MP's does something yet again to try and stop the will of the people. What make me irate even more is when they try and stop brexit and claim they are doing it in the name of democracy <grr>

Yes, I loved it. I seen it earlier when red robin posted it at the bottom of the last page. Brilliantly worded by Geoffrey Cox.

Funny world we live in. A man who won't sing the national anthem, now wants Boris to resign, accusing him of lying to the Queen! You couldn't make it up could you!!

Wasn’t it hard-line Brexiteers who stopped Brexit by voting down May’s deal?
It’s not just Remainers at fault here - they all have blood on their hands.....

Just a minute there R&W pal - May's deal wasn't Brexit at all, that's why it was voted down.

Actually it was. It would have seen us leave the EU.

Leavers can't just go 'WE WANT BREXIT. Oh no wait a minute, not that one.'

It would not have seen us leave the EU at all.

We would have been locked in by the backstop clause indefinitely untl the EU said we could leave and abiding by EU legislation without a say in it's determination.

It would have not been a good deal of course, but it would have still been leaving.

Which is why everyone who says they want us to 'just get on with it' doesn't actually mean what they say. If they did, they would have backed the deal, terrible deal though it was.

Another circle I know, but no one specified what 'leave' was. May's deal would have delivered it exactly as promised by Cameron, which people love to quote.

Another circle I know but as it's been a matter of months. Is anybody able to come up with a solution for us to actually 'take back control of our borders' yet?

It would have ben leaving only in the broader sense of the word and on specific EU terms to which May acquiesced. We have been put in this situation by weakness in negotiation on our behalf in an effort to get a deal - any deal.

Maybe circles again Rob, but it was voted down twice and by elements of both side of the argument in Parliament. Only now are some getting cold feet and making efforts to regurgitate that May deal as the only way forward. If we are forced to accept that and go crawling back to Brussels with it under Boris's arm, we will lose all credibility as a soveriegn country.

I think we've lost a fair bit of credibility already there Sparkey <laugh>. I don't disagree at all, it was a crap deal that satisfied nobody, but all of this about 'just getting on with Brexit' is just a cliche, that's all.

They didn't stop Brexit by voting down May's deal. They tried to save Brexit. It was a terrible deal from May and the EU as already pointed out and it meant we wouldn't actually leave the EU. On paper we would be out but in reality we wouldn't as we would still be too closely entangled with them. Northern Ireland would have been stuck in the single market and the referendum made it clear we would be leaving the single market. It was actually a deal worse than remaining. May said no deal was better than a bad deal over 100 times in parliament and that was a bad deal she brought back and for the privilege of this crap deal, we get to hand over £39 billion to the EU. These hard line Brexiteers knew it was a remainer deal and not actually a leave deal so they did the right thing because it was against the referendum and GE manifesto, which people voted on.

Rob remember the ballot paper said leave or stay.

Not we have to negotiate a deal to leave.

I agree with all of that apart from the last bit.

There are many different reasons why people are saying just get on with. Most people I know who say this, say this for the same reason as me. Leave won. Remainers need to stop fukking about trying to stop the referendum result and just get on with their job and represent their constituents and get Brexit done - a good deal or no deal.

Of course there are some who say 'just get on with it' are those who are fed up with hearing about Brexit and want it over no matter how good/bad that deal is. And although that is not good to accept a deal without knowing or caring what that deal is, I can certainly understand why they say it in this way. Its been a frustrating 3 plus years. Both sides kicking the can down the road to delay delay and delay. Should have left in March. But here were are, fighting in parliament to yet again seek a 3rd extension and this extension will give the EU all the power in making the length of the agreement. The EU could make it 5 years. I don't think either side of the argument can cope with 5 more years of this. So I can see why some say just get on with it.
