The answer is very simple Sensible ..... Brent can talk the talk but he definitely can't walk the walk ...... he should take note this is how you do it <party> :emoticon-0102-bigsm

This bigger stand argument is a bit of a pi**ing contest to be honest. A 25,000 capacity like Hull or Reading is all very well as regards bragging rights but with only 6,000 in it, it's going to feel like a tumbleweed ghost town.

Also, whether anyone likes it or not, nothing in life is free. The cost of a stand the size of Hull or Reading is probably £20-£25m at today's prices. Do we really want the club to be paying rent on substantially more capacity than the club is likely to need for years?

I went to coventry Rioach stadium to see us win a few years ago maybe longer lol.. It was a big stadium and even with 16 k it looked empty.. so a bigger stadium is a no go at the moment.. but we must have the option to make it bigger when the time is right.. could be a while..

That's the sticking point joe the option to make it bigger which I have no confidence that Home Park can provide. A long shot yes but if ever there was a need for more then it would have to be a full on move to a new home completely. I have treked to HP for donkeys years and am a bit of a traditionalist. I would not want to move. I agree that those who argue more is needed now are talking through their rear ends. We are unlikely, other than for a handful of games, to need even 17k for a long time to come.

Aren't Coventry playing their home games at Northampton at present..... 34 miles away.

All to do with a rent dispute with the owners I believe.....so they don't own their own ground.

So a nice big Ricoh Arena seating 34,000 going begging....is that still happening or are they back there and I haven't noticed.

sensible.....you know as well as I that if Home Park was 50,000 the diehard Brent out attackers....would find other reasons to be anti-Brent....okay he isn't perfect but who is.......other than you and me of course.

There are legitimate reasons already to be anti Brent and you don't have to be a die-hard Brent out attacker. I don't necessarily want him out. I want him to do what the last lot didn't and what he promised is all. As for the new build well some of the arguments against it are plain stupid because there is no way stats support their argument but as said above, it is the option to improve on it later if and when required. It is also the revenue to be gained by the club, not interested in what others are to get, that is at odds. I just don't see how this is going to improve Argyle's lot at all or where this magical increased revenue is going to appear from. All I see is Argyle's rent going up.

The only reason I am Anti-Brent Plym is due to fact that he has lied and no matter how you try and excuse that, how can you ever trust again somebody like that .... I agree Sensible IF the new grandstand and outlets get built the rent is due to go up, without any of the profits coming back into the club.

If there is Anti-Brent feelings, the man has brought it on himself !

A plan is needed were the ground capacity could be improved when the time is right, as you say at present a handful of games a season does not warrant that.. But at the moment its all on hold! Will it ever happen we don't know, i know the drawings keep going to Keirs to re price and it costs a company of that size in the region of 10 k to re price and they are not doing it apparently, but that is just talk.
I also know that Brent has to make money that is why we are all in Business.. to make as much as we can. But he needs to keep to what he originally said. what ever that was? I am with Sensible in saying i dont want him gone as there is nobody else. But dont be the same as the last crooks we had in charge!!

Seriously WTF I am fed up to the back teeth on all this development, stadium size, board members, investment crap, rumours. We still have a club and despite my reservations it is pushing for promo. So can we not leave all the crap aside til the dull months and focus on the important stuff like football..... Showumni answer to Aless missing or not? Anyone got enuff bandages for Wotts? Who will let the Bants out?

Rant off...... but 90% threads over the last few years have been finance, politics and stuff, we are finally at the right end of a table can we not have a finance free zone? Sooo

Half a pound of flour and lard

Just enough for you and me
    Gor bugger janner

Oh how happy us will be
when us gets to the westcountry
where the oggies grow on trees
    Gor bugger janner

now you make fast, i'll make fast
    make fast the dingy
you make fast, kiss my ass
    make fast the dingy

And we'll all go back to oggie land
to oggie land, to oggie land
And we'll all go back to oggie land
where they cant tell sugar from
tissue paper, tissue paper, marmalade and jam, oi

    Oggie oggie oggie.......

Thing is Mexi that you cannot be local and not get caught up with this side of it. All I can say is don't read the politics bits and just read the football bits. It would be a bit like being at a match when the Dockyard had a nuclear explosion. As long as the team are winning 1 - 0 then it's all ok and nothing to comment on.

Easy question GAT......all of them......they're all part of a pack of cards.......take one away and they all come tumbling down....postcard nor required.

No new Grandstand (one card) possible because there ain't no seperate money to build it....without the other builds (other cards) taking place.

Home Park because it has to come before the Pavillions as far as I'm aware.
