i have read all your reports, and it appears to me the jury is out on winnall and collins. i would say it might be difficult to be constructive about them, when yesterday it was a struggling team against red hot certainties for promo or playoffs. i do hope we will not be let down by tight fisted economics. yes you roland. town travel to brentford, who appear to be another improving team. to hold tranmere to one goal away, and to equalise in the 95th minute suggests an improvement. league walsall 2 b 2 b 1 colchester 0 orient 1 b 1 cherries 2 b 2 b 1 oldham 0 tranny 1 b 1 league p9 w3 d4 L2 f13 a10 gd3 p13 pos. 11 goal scorers donaldson striker 4 el alagui striker 3 dean defender 1 i think tuesdays game may be tight, and i hope gt has the right players in situ. come on you shrews, breath on 'em, floreat salopia.! by the way any time any one wants to take over pre match threads please say as i am a long way from active games. anyway i have 20 hours a day to prepare them.
We will do well to get anything out of this game but we have bounced back before so I go for a 0-0 score bore. By the way I quite liked Collins at left back - especially first half.
Brentford 1 v 3 Shrewsbury Parry, Winall, Morgan Att 4864 Come on you blues, we need a win in the Brentford Triangle as we haven't won there in years!
30 mins gone, 0-0 winnall off with hamstring, gornell on. winnall loan over? back to square 1 up front
Sounded like a missed opportunity on the radio. AJ can you get any radio commentary down your way? It might be worthwhile looking into subscribing to Shrewsplayer, it is 10p per day for the basic deal and you get commentary and access to loads of video footage. Swan Vestas? Seriously ....step at a time! I still believe a 'headline' signing would do wonders for confidence. Wright seems to lack it right now. GT has said we have had a few players underperforming; competition and confidence may help. Gates may improve even more....we are already level with Notts County and look at their acievements and ambitions lately
Someone has posted elsewhere that Hazell has walked from the club. Doubt it is true, and I don't know what the circumstances are for signing with someone else would be either.
to me it looks like GT is scrapping the barrel a bit, he's only signing players that he's worked with in another life!!, and i think all this is down to Rowland keeping his Purse tight shut, I agree too many players look low on confidence, but there are to many misfiring also, and Marvin is becoming a right enigma!
thanks matster for the suggestion, at present i follow games on 606 text , b and a thread and when working final score. last night was a point gained but should have been 3 from a denied penalty. i am convinced,(another u turn) that el tel and our marv will come good. sadly wrighty seems a shadow of his former self and others are playing below par. sadly aj cannot make his old boys reunion so this will mean i do not get to shropshire this year.
Lots of talk about Hazell at Brentford. Allegedy they want him off the wage bill and has a bust up with Gt over it ! enjoyed the game it was much better than saturday and the match day (evening) experience was very enjoyable, great old fashioned ground, good traditional pub The Griffin and friendly locals didnt do the 3 other pubs on the 3 other corners of the ground as we felt very comfortable in the griffin. Hopefully we can visit Griffin Park again next season.!!
