Disgusting treatment on manager, hope they fail this and every season with them idiots incharge. Embarrassing.
By all accounts the Manager has only ever been on a one year rolling contract and had (internally to the board) made it known that he was interested in the Norwich job when it became available. The most bizarre part of the story is that the owner wanted to strengthen the squad during January, given the opportunity for promotion. (sound familiar?) The board, along with the Manager voted against high levels of investments in favour of staying loyal to the squad.. which is where the story first originated as the owner was annoyed that the Manager didn't spend enough of his money I don't think it's been handled well by anyone involved, but the statements from Warburton himself don't seem to be that of a man who has been too unfairly treated. The rumours are that he had been courted by QPR and others and had the story not been leaked, he would have left in the summer and no one would have been half as interested. As it is, they have between them put their season in danger of completely falling apart.
I think the announcement of " he's to leave at the end of the season " ruins their season totally. If that's the case may aswell sack and get someone else in.
