Morning all :emoticon-0148-yes: It seems our mate is stuck in the wardrobe somewhere so here's a start

Last night fat Frankie edged 3 points against lowly Wigan, but still leaves them outside top 6 and level on points with Bristol City.

Big day today for Bolton as it seems Kenyon and his mates may just take over in the nick of time. The previous crew were doing due diligence and messed about but it seems today we should find out and the options are:
    1. Consortium 1 takes over and pays the players staff and HMRC, plus police and security. Parkin should get sacked and our ex Brentford/Rangers mate takes over the management as he's part of the consortium
    2. Consortium 2 takes over and pays all the bills including HMRC and Parkin stays in place.
    3. They go into administration
There is still a problem looming regarding playing on Saturday as council have not allowed it to happen as nobody paying for policing or ground security staff.

Sam Dalby has only played 5 minutes football since he went to Morecambe on loan and this is a player Bielsa rates. Morcambe are crap yet Dalby not getting a chance, however he played for their U23s yesterday and scored the equaliser and was MOM, so if that doesn't get him in the first team nothing will and he should be brought home. Morcambe U23s is a backward step from the Leeds U23s

Lots of serious issues for the EFL to deal with today now they have sorted out the high risk problem of taking a walk on a public footpath

EFL clubs set for dramatic day ahead of board meeting

Blackpool, Charlton, Coventry and Bolton have outstanding issues set to be discussed by EFL board

Shaun Harvey is leaving the EFL at the end of the season

The EFL is set for a dramatic day on Wednesday, with a number of crucial issues on the agenda at a board meeting.

It will all take place against the backdrop of the impending departure of chief executive Shaun Harvey, who is believed to be being considered by the FA to replace its departing CEO, Martin Glenn.

    BLACKPOOL

The EFL is set to decide whether to deduct 12 points from Blackpool after receivers were appointed to run the club.

Previous owner Owen Oyston, as well as his daughter, have been replaced on the club's board by receivers following a court order, due to a debt owed by Oyston to his previous business partner Valeri Belokon.

Owen Oyston has been forced out of Blackpool after a court appointed receivers to the club's board

Paul Cooper, one of the receivers on Blackpool's board, has confirmed there is interest in buying the club.

Blackpool could face a 12-point deduction due to the appointment of receivers - which would see them drop from 10th place in League One to the relegation zone - but Harvey has offered hope that it could be avoided.

Last month, he said: "We hope to find a solution that will deliver the stability that will benefit the club going forward.”

    CHARLTON

The EFL has confirmed it has been contacted by Charlton, whose owner Roland Duchatelet has 'demanded' they buy the club from him. Roland Duchatelet wants the EFL to buy Charlton, and says his decision to purchase the Addicks was a ‘mistake' Duchatelet is looking to sell Charlton, and says buying the club was a "mistake".

As well as wanting the EFL to buy the Addicks, the Belgian businessman wants them to rent the stadium and training ground from him, too. Duchatelet's 'demand' is unlikely to be accepted by the EFL, but will be discussed nonetheless.

    COVENTRY

Coventry were asked by the EFL to provide an update on where they plan to play their matches next season, with their rent agreement with rugby union side Wasps to play at the Ricoh Arena set to expire at the end of the current campaign.

Sky Sports News understands Coventry provided the EFL with the requested update on Tuesday evening and that, while it will be discussed, no decision on the club's future will be made at Wednesday's board meeting.

The Sky Blues are understood to be optimistic of reaching a deal with Wasps, but face expulsion from the EFL if no agreement is reached before an extraordinary general meeting on April 25.

    BOLTON

Bolton's home game against Millwall on Saturday is in doubt due to money owed by the club to stewards and Greater Manchester Police. Bolton's game at the University of Bolton Stadium against Millwall on Saturday is in doubt over unpaid bills

Bolton Council met on Tuesday to discuss the club's safety certificate, and found they were not satisfied that legal safety standards would be met.

The Trotters responded on Tuesday evening, saying: "The club has provided written assurances to Bolton Council that it will meet the legal conditions."

On Monday, Sky Sports News reported Bolton's staff were told not to come to the training ground after it was shut because no food was available.

    OTHER CLUBS

Notts County are in financial difficulty after owner Alan Hardy's interior design business entered administration, and HMRC has issued a winding-up petition over unpaid bills. Notts County owner Alan Hardy is looking to sell the club

The Magpies have accused HMRC of an "extremely aggressive approach". Hardy is willing to sell the club, and says two acceptable offers have been made.

Birmingham are expected to be deducted 12 points after breaching the EFL's Financial Fair Play rules, with a disciplinary commission hearing set to be held next week.

A previous hearing was cancelled last week after a member declared a conflict of interest. Birmingham could be the first club to be punished under the EFL's profitability and sustainability rules, which were introduced in 2016.

Great post Eric and just one more thing missing will be the Derby owner who now wants to sell as he's losing £3m per month due to high wages/contracts.

This is why Radz had a go at the EFL last season if you remember, he asked how Wolves can afford to have premier league players on loan. He was correct in asking because it was obvious to all last season Wolves were something else, but the club and manager have links to an agent who bent the rules to bring them in. Radz was told Wolves broke no rules and replied 'OK now I know maybe we will do the same'.

isnt it time football administrators were brought into line as football FFFP rules are useless, when clubs like Wolves can lose £1m per week, Derby £3m per month and we still have so many clubs with financial problems. Wolves gambled last season and won as they got promoted but lost millions the year before and even more last season, so even if the win the Prem this season they will still have problems. Birmingham and Derby and Villa all gambled and lost and we now see Birmingham and Derby in financial trouble as well as Bolton....

Morning all. Also rushing about. Had a quick skim over above articles and agree with all being said. FFP was ever only a joke and never implemented. I say fair play to Wolves, they got away with it

If Wolves are relegated the gamble dies along with the club, but looks ike Wolves will stay up and they should drag their costs back under control by the end of next season unless they heavilly invest in more big players. If they do they are sitting on a timebomb. Burnley for example are a great model of investing sensibly and gradually improve with the aim of staying in the Prem. No pretentions of wanting top 6 Prem for them, the aim is survival and reap huge financial reward for staying up. Parachute payments also used to ensure a bounce straight bcak. When it goes wrong you see Stoke Swansea, Birmingham, Villa, Sunderland, Boro, Blackburn, Wigan...

If possible Doc can you show me the goals v Watford and if possible highlights of Boggies part in it
Wolves have lost over £1m a week over the last 2 seasons surely that's against the rules well it would be in it was us!
End of an era for Real Madrid as they were heavily defeated by Ajax looks like Bale will be on his way back but who can afford his wages?
    Hope Matt Is OK

Just as a comparison, to watch a Leeds home game it would cost me about £160 including fuel for one match before any food/drink, and a round trip travel time of 9 hours.

To watch for example a Barcelona home game (if I was that way inclined, like Eire <whistle>) it would cost me about £70 (flight from Stansted £50 return, match ticket £20) and a round trip travel time of 6 hours, which includes 30 minutes each way car journey to Stansted, and the same from Barcelona airport to the ground, plus airport waiting time.

I was there & it was a funny atmosphere. We didn't care! We had already qualified from the group. Might have been a riot if it had counted. This was the same game that Niggle knelt down to collect the ball & it hit a divot & bounced right over him for a goal, wasn't it?

Apparently it's only a 15 minute walk  although if it's Ryanair they'll probably land at an airport 60 miles away <doh>
