He is good as a defensive midfielder, pretty sure he is banned from shooting now from distance..... In all fairness BJ didn`t do much wrong , had he put his head in Bartons face ,Barton would have gone down like a sack of ****..... Gervinho springs to mind...
SN23, you're being very harsh on the BJ. Sure he isn't great at shooting, but he breaks the play up well and does a really good job in the middle of the park. When he first signed, I was a bit concerned he wouldn't be anywhere near PL level, but IMO, he has not looked out of place in the top league. There was even mention of being called up for Engalnd (he was in one initial squad but didn't make final squad) Why do I ever doubt any of Lambert's signings.

I did wonder, but then after reading your posts, it looked like you were serious. They rate Howson better than they do Johnson, so Howson will be an England regular come next season.
Too be fair to Leeds i was <hoping> cough, expecting them to be all over our boards moaning about stealing their best players.... They seem to be directing the anger at The white bearded chap, and rightly so.
We don't say their crap 'coz they leave, we just tend to ignore players flaws however massive (in the case of BJ) when they play for us and are reminded of them when they leave. Howson was probably our best player after Snoddy even if he did go missing in some games and is a money grabber.

You've only stolen one of our best players, you can keep Johnson. Howson's always been twice the player Johnson is.
What would be the point in moaning, it wasn't the fans that went out and signed them. Johnson was a bit different though, we refused to offer him a decent contract so he walked when it expired he was a totally free agent so you didn't really get him from us, you signed an unemployed player.
Johnson is a good player. Inconsistent in his first two seasons, but found his form last season and was very good in the holding role. Seems to be continuing that at Norwich. SG and Bates (not that he'd care) have made a massive blunder in letting him go.
No, he was crap in a holding role, which is why we were always on about how we needed a holding midfielder.
