As said in other posts, can't see it happening, but looking forward to hunting some Tigers if they come on here....
Didn't you know..nigel does it just to mess with their heads...I thought it was common knowledge by now...
Aren't you lot remotely concerned that your manager spends so much time obsessing over our players? How much time in total has he spent since rejoining Leicester chasing the likes of Chester, Stewart and Koren without success? All the signs are that Hull City are more committed to investing in the team under Bruce this season than we have been for years, so is it really likely that selling our best players is part of that strategy? Think about it rationally and not just argumentively.
How are we obsessing? As far as i'm aware this is the first bid for any of your players this summer. Hardly obsessing. Also why would we be worried? You (collective for Hull fans) keep saying that they're good enough to walk into PL sides
As you know an official bid is only part of the process. Some managers like Pearson prefer to do their negotiating via the press and according to this board Leicester have been on the verge of signing one of our players almost every week of the last two transfer windows. If he was still our manager I would be pretty concerned at the possible transfers he misses out on due to this obsession.
Can you tell me how you have come to the conclusion that Nigel prefers to negotate via the press? As far as we all know, it's not even an official bid...'Sky sources'...
Are you just trying to be naive? How many stories have you seen in the local and national press over the last two windows linking Leicester with Hull City players and where do you think they emanate? If it wasn't Pearson then why doesn't he ever deny he's interested?
don't have a go at me..I didn't put the bid in.. look on your board...they are knocking the bloke for the shape of his head..
Go on then. I challenge you to find 2/3 stories throughout this transfer window where we have bid for Hull players.
Did you even read my posts? First I said the "last two windows" and second I said " an official bid is only part of the process."
Yeah. 1) In the JTW (before we signed Drinkwater, Morgan and Marshall) we had bids rejected for Koren, Stewart and Chester because your owner squealed to the press about it (You said Nige does his dealings through the press, which was totally wrong). 2) A bid is the start of the process. If someone is interested they don't say to the press 'we're interested in 'X'' because that would attract unneeded attention. I thought they were fairly obvious so I omitted them from my answer. Now, where were we, oh yes. Our 'obsession' with your players, show me how we're 'obsessed', thankyou. !!!! You were not viewing it when I wrote that reply, sorry!
I too would be a little concerned if I were a Leicester fan. What will other players think when they see Pearson missing out on targets time and time again every window. Similar situation happened with us with Brown, he started going in for unrealistic targets (e.g. Owen) once we'd missed out on Brown's early targets we were left over-paying for mediocre players. Not saying that will happen with Leicester, just that I'd be a bit annoyed with my manager for wasting time. If we bid £500k for Nugent, Marshall and the like I wouldn't find it amusing that it irritated you I'd wonder why Bruce wasn't doing something more worthwile with his time.
