    BOYS BACK ON THURSDAY!

Posted on: Mon 04 Jul 2011

The thirst for your QPR fix is almost over R's fans, as Neil Warnock's troops prepare for the start of pre-season training on Thursday morning.

Rangers' title-winning campaign of 2010/11 was something to behold and the two-month break that followed has been and gone in a flash.

Indeed, there's little more than a month to go until the start of the new Barclays Premier League season, where the R's will kick-off their campaign against Owen Coyle's Bolton Wanderers at Loftus Road on August 13th.

But, for now, there's much hard work to be done from Warnock's men so that they're ready for that Trotters test on the opening weekend of the season.

QPR's First Team squad are in for just over a week before their opening pre-season clash, which see the R's make the short trip to Earlsmead - home of Harrow Borough - on Friday 15th July, in front of what should be a healthy West London crowd.

Three days later, it's off to Cornwall for Warnock's charges.

Tavistock provide the opposition for Rangers' opener (Monday 18th July) on that particular tour, before the R's travel to Home Park on Wednesday 20th July to face Plymouth Argyle.

Rangers round-off their trip to the South West against Bodmin on Friday 22nd July, before the focus turns to a prestigious tour of Italy.

During their week-long stay on Mediterranean shores, Rangers will twice face Serie 'A' opposition.

QPR will contest the 'Trofeo Bortolotti' - a highly-regarded one-off fixture which marks the end of Atalanta's pre-season campaign each year - on Wednesday 27th July.

And then it's off to Cesena, who have recently signed former Chelsea attacker Adrian Mutu, on Saturday 30th July for the tour's conclusion.

Upon their return, Rangers will travel the Broadfield Stadium - home of Blue Square Premier Champions Crawley Town - on Tuesday 2nd August, before QPR kick-off their Premier League campaign with that opening day fixture against Bolton in W12.

    Pre-Season Fixtures

    Friday 15th July - Harrow Borough (a) 7.15pm
    Monday 18th July - Tavistock (a) 7.00pm
    Wednesday 20th July - Plymouth Argyle (a) 7.45pm
    Friday 22nd July - Bodmin Town (a) 7.15pm
    Wednesday 27th July - Cesena (a) 8.30pm
    Saturday 30th July - Atalanta (a) 8.30pm
    Tuesday 2nd August - Crawley Town (a) 7.45pm

As ever, www.qpr.co.uk will be providing fans with the very latest news from W12 throughout the duration of the pre-season campaign.

What's more, the R's press team will also bring you complete coverage of the tours to Cornwall and Italy - both on our official website and, more exclusively, on QPR Player.
