My heart sinks when I hear two of the above used to with reference to footballers...and particularly Sunderland footballers. The latest recipient of course is the young man,Ryan Noble...I only bring this up as I remember Brian Clough using "young man" so effectively ( along with that so steady piercing gaze) Im prompted to write as Ive just seen what Id consider to some less than inspirational observations by Steve Bruce about young Ryans body when it was shirtless....Sure I can hear Ferguson/Shankly and others using the "Boy" ephitet....but somehow I cant hear them following the line of Bruce. To him I would say "Just stick to trying get them to play out of their skins Mr Bruce.....otherwise shut your big fat gob...." He doesnt seem to do it....Its not that I really know as Ive never sat in his dressing room....I just dont get the feeling "He`s one of "those" who could do it..".. Im hearing Cloughies voice now...often referred to Kean as "Irishman"...in his Forest days setting him on the road to greatness Anyway best of luck today "Boys"....Im praying Danny Murphy isnt on form brain for brain what do you think it looks like in midfield?
Fulham will be something like Dembeley, Murphy, Etuhu and Dempsey Dempsey could rip Elmo apart if on form. Murphy decent experienced, Etuhu hot and cold Dembeley..pass, but sure Sess will be ok there. This is the key area today, as defence and forwards are evenly matched...Hope the boys, kids lads or whatever do ok, could be a canny game.
