Bournemouth have been given an extra 1400 seats; these will be located in the WU, including block Q.

Season-ticket holders and those who have already bought tickets for the match will be moved to other sections.

I won't. My son and I have been sitting in the same seats (block Q) for years and it's not as simple as just moving elsewhere.

    It really isn't that simple.

I truly hope Bournemouth are promoted and wish them every success, but this is hugely frustrating.

    I shall ask for a pro-rata refund.

I hope the club treat your case sympathetically, you must let us know what their response is. There's no reason why you should expect to be moved like this. Selling cheap season tickets at the south end of the East Stand seems to me to have been a PR gimmick. The old system of using this part of the ground for extra away fans seemed to work pretty well before.

I imagine the Valley breakfast offered in compensation will be woeful.

I completely understand why this has happened but at the same time would be livid if I was being asked to move. As it is I'm selfishly relieved it's you and not me (I sit almost below you in West Lower G).

Please let us know how you get on and good luck!

I said to my son on Saturday, as we marvelled at the half empty East Stand v Leeds, that Charlton should show some nous and give over that whole stand to Bournemouth (who have said that they can sell 6,000 tickets minimum). Why not take the chance to maximise the revenue and piss off a few complacent Bovril guzzlers in the process. It's only a one off game and we have nothing to play for. I sympathise with Ponders but trust me, his complaints will fall on deaf Belgium ears. I complained earlier this season that my seat in the West Upper was covered in pigeon excrement. I even sent Meire some photos. No reply.

What other Club in the Football League would treat their fans in this way?

When they kept us back after the Millwall game I gave up my season ticket in protest.... have been to 4 or 5 first team games at the Valley since....... in the same period I have seen about 80% of the U18's home games..

Charlton are not a family club anymore!

I'll get a reply, Vol. I always do.

Many of our fans are saying it is a wonderful gesture, but would they feel the same if it were their seats in question?

I can't go in to detail here, but there will be others refusing to budge.

Selling out the fans for a cheap buck. Do we actually need the extra 50k it will bring in? Towards the end of the Murray regime I could understand - but this isn't delivering the "ultimate match day experience" they bang on about.

We always knew that the sly and snooty Katrien Meire was the Marie Antoinette of football CEOs, but really...

I agree about that one. That p****d off a lot of people, the policing was shabby and rude. If by chance Millwall stay up, I hope our club allocates them only 1,000 tickets and keeps them behind for an hour.

The Club did'nt keep us back after the Millwall game two years back. They announced that Floyd Rd would be shut for a period of time after the game and said that the kiosks would remain open for those who wanted to wait until the road was reopened. We certainly were not kept in, they let us out as usual, but it was the old bill who shut off Floyd Road, making us all do a detour.
