Bad run of form, big signing failing to preform, it's not looking good for Bournemouth. Sad really, they are my favourite of the teams within our area.
Whoever gets the bornmuff job will have to be a heavy drinker to compete with Eddie Mitchell & his Russian pals wife... allegedly. In fact, as it appears she wears the trousers around Dean Court, she'll probably do the job herself! Anyone else remember the tv show "The Manageress" please log in to view this image
Hate to admit I remember the programme, fell in love with Cherie then, and she still is a classy woman.
Always on the cards once Eddie (who's paying the bar tab) found some backing. I don't actually think he's been that bad a manager and I predict a "cock up" situation may develop as Sven Gotcha Euro is appointed.
Makes me laugh, if you don't care about Bradbury being sacked, don't comment? Simples He has been very inconsisent, some good runs and some bad runs but obviously currently on a bad run but they should have waited until the end of the season
Actually, in this instance I think those sorts of comments are actually quite relevant. We Saints fans seem to be quite divided on how we're supposed to feel about Bournemouth. Are we rivals? Are we friends? Are we nothing? I personally have no feelings towards Bournemouth.
You have to feel for the guy, he did his best, when he first got the job I was hoping Fletcher would be the gaffer with Bradbury second in command, but hey ho it didn't happen, time marches on.
A shame. I want all Southern clubs to do well. To do better than anywhere else. Sacking Bradbury at this stage, unless Bournemouth have a ready made replacement of quality, seems a silly move. But Bradbury hasn't had Steve Fletcher as his assistant since November, and I think Bournemouth were better with them as a managerial team, rather than Bradbury on his own.
despite the worst efforts of some Bournemouth fans to "create" a rivalry when we were in the same division, I have always had, and still have a soft spot for them. They struggle to get a level of attendance that will enable them to prosper, due in part to their location, but have had their share of giant killings in the past. I would like to see them do well, but as is common with local football they have attracted a duffun in Eddie Mitchell!
Their Chairman is a fool and last year they mildly irritated me, but now we are in the Championship I have gone to my fallback position...I want them to do well. The Bradbury sacking may follow on from the dressing room incident with their owners wife/girlfriend as well as recent form. Generally you need some stability in management, so hope they have a good replacement lined up, but suspect not.
To be honest since they had such a brilliant season under Eddie Howe last year, this season was always going to disappoint. They also lost almost all of their first eleven and best players over the summer. Personally I thought they would be relegation fodder but they have done better than that. I think this is a case of ambition outstripping sensibility as I cannot see Bournemouth surviving in a higher league tier.
I did like Bournemouth until they thought they were our rivals when really they were like our pesky little brother asking for a fight. Now that we are in a different league i want them to do well. They do seem to have a bit of cash now with their russian owners so hopefully they will bring in someone good. One thing that we all agree on is that Eddie Mitchell is a drunk.
