I'm going as well. Assuming we're not all staying in someone's house any recommendations on hotels? I know you're spoiled for choice down there but due to the time of year I'm guessing the rooms would have to be booked early.

A lot of the B&B's don't like visitors for one night only in the summer (especially if in a group), so you may have to book in for the weekend or try some of the bigger hotels. It's bound to be a bit pricey in late July/early August wherever you stay. You could always ask 'Arry for a sleepover - he lives in Sandbanks!

. at Goldsands Stadium on Friday, August 1 (7.30pm)

Swansea City will travel to Championship side AFC Bournemouth for a pre-season friendly on Friday, August 1 (7.30pm).
The trip to Goldsands Stadium will see the Swans face a Cherries outfit that includes former midfielder Shaun MacDonald.
Garry Monk’s men will start their preparations for the new Barclays Premier League campaign in the USA with a two-week training camp from July 6 – 20.
The trip includes two friendlies against Mexican Premier League side Chivas at Miller Park, Milwaukee, on Wednesday, July 16; and Minnesota United of the NASL at the National Sports Center Stadium, Blaine, on Saturday, July 19.
The Swans will then set up camp on the south coast of Devon for three days which will focus around friendlies against League Two sides Plymouth Argyle and Exeter City.
They face Plymouth at Home Park on Sunday, July 27 (5pm) and Exeter City at St James’ Park on Tuesday, July 29 (7.15pm).
The club hopes to confirm a final friendly at the Liberty Stadium on the weekend of August 9 - a week before the new Barclays Premier League campaign kicks off.
Ticket details for all fixtures will follow, together with news on any further friendlies.

I'm honestly not totally sure - there's loads to choose from and I've never really had to look at hotels in Bournemouth - but there are plenty of hotels near the seafront and town centre, where you can get fairly regular buses to Bournemouth train station. From there its like a 20 minute walk to the ground, a very simple route which you can look up online.

What he said!

I hadn't even heard about it until I saw this thread.

http://www.afcb.co.uk/news/article/...outh-amongst-pre-season-fixtures-1577385.aspx CONFIRMED!

By the way, on the topic of that video earlier...Bournemouth has a really popular clubbing scene and there are attractive foreign women everywhere. So you know, if you're staying for an evening...

I was hoping it was a week earlier to be honest Cherry. I visit the South Coast once or twice a year as I have family members there and always call into Bournemouth. I am likely to be there the week before the match so I'm a bit gutted...but you never know, the lure of Clubbing and attractive women ....<laugh>
