Yesterdays attendance was 27K+ and about 10K more than they usually get. It's bizarre how their attendances can fluctuate like that, especially for a team in the top 3 and going well.

Thought their fans supported their team well, very loud and sustained it all the way through. However, i'm not a fan of the twat with the drum, although the beat was different from anything i've heard before at a match. Also, i hope we never bring in goal music. That stupid pig bag song is a ****in irritation.

Dunno why they had North Korean flags waving about in that bit in the corner though. Reminiscent of the what Ceptic fans do with che Guevara and Basque Country flags.

Saw they were goading our lot in the top corner after they scored and the coppers stepped in to stop any potential aggro. Anything happen afterwards outside?

They wave North Korean flags because they were the city that hosted N.Korea in the 1966 World Cup Finals.

I've seen some of their games on the FLS this season and the Riverside has been pretty empty most of the time. Money's tight I suppose. Fans in the North East tend to be pretty vocal, ad that goal music was there a few years ago when we went there for the FA cup game, whenever we scored we took the piss out of it!

i was in block 64 right in the corner and, to be honest, their fans was terrible most of the game. I didn't even hear the fans in the north-east corner. They only came alive when they scored the goal. For an attendance of 27k and an away following of 3/4k, i would expect better atmosphere. boro seem to be good at closing down and their defence was outstanding. City was tryin to walk into the net, but with a defence as tight as boro's, its going to be a hard task. I am not usually a moaner, it was probably the strong north east wind. :)

Middlesbrough 'a city' - do me a favour.

As for North Korea - yes they did play at Ayresome Park and I recollect they beat Italy in their group (who returned home early after failing to progress beyond the group stage) - rather tenuous though so say the least after all this time.

Oh and it is well known that BP should have been given the nod over Ayresome Park (which was always a dump) as a WC ground.

Absolutely true. I pissed myself when I picked up a newspaper yesterday and read Tony Mowbray refer to them as "the 12th man".

well there were alot of children trying to act tough and some bottles of soft drinks were hurled over to the city fans. all quite laughable really.

as for there fans ? well until they scored and as the city fans sang.."""its just like a li-ba-reeee, just like a li-ba-reee"""

27+k for Hull City and it will be interesting to see what they get for Peterboro on saturday.
